Starfield looks amazing compared to Alan Wake 2, which is incredibly blurry unless you're sitting three miles away from your monitor. On top of that, Starfield is a very complex game, while Alan Wake 2 doesn’t offer much in terms of gameplay, just 15 hours of foggy, noisy, and blurry graphics. I certainly don’t get the hype around Alan Wake.

@@bald_phoenix is a very limited version of RT in every game, is like just shadows at most in most cases, no real rt experience, always on low RT and sometimes even less. however you jsut mentioned one thing, what about the rest? is amazing but in many times in order to get a decently looking game you need to play at 30fps because the "performance mode" may give you 60 or close to it but looks terribly bad,. Its not they are not as good as "high end pcs" they are on par with low end pcs, the power from the ps5 is similar to what you can get with a 6600xt wich is low end.

@@Gusthxx It depends on what settings you play and if you enable RTX or not. Path Tracing is pretty demanding so that will be a no-go for most people. But I'm one of the crazy ones that paid €1600 for an RTX 4080, so I personally didn't have any performance issues, as to be expected with a powerful (and expensive) GPU like the RTX 4080. But you are 100% right, the game still looks beautiful on low settings.

I think, or hope this is a troll video, anyway, another perspective: One of if not the best survival horror game ever made. Whatever could be called woke is so not forced, I didn't notice. Great writing, great musical and even short film moments. 4-5 Year old mid range GPU as minimum seems quite reasonable to me, what is not is the current GPU prices. Not to forget, it ran well on my Xbox Series X and looked good on the 60fps mode. and I am sure it would run and look well on my pc as well if I stay within the limitations of my system. These days getting a game on a disc often is getting a glorified product key, nothing more, nothing less. Would have loved a physical version, a shame it is not there. Though, at this point in time, I doubt it would change much for future preservation. The situation in general is just sad these days, if a game comes on a disk or not does not change that generally speaking.

The only specifically woke aspect of the game is that it goes out of its way to make sure you know one character is a lesbian. Even then, I wouldn't call this woke. The whole "go woke, go broke" thing stems from media sacrificing entertainment value for message and consequently making something preachy and poorly entertaining. Alan Wake 2 definitely doesn't do that.

Also, it was really cringe how Saga at the end said "I've gone through much bs, now I deserve to rise above the story" and then, of course, rewrites the "perfect ending" to the horror story to save everybody and there are just sacrifices made on Alan's part. Wouldn't give it a 9,5. More like a 7. A 9,5 it would get for the artistic visuals and the whole idea of looping the story. But overall...a solid 7. Kinda disappointing story.

For those saying about digital only . They are releasing a physical deluxe addition in October. A friend showed me . I couldn't believe either. I was told that there was not going to be a physical version as it would be too expensive, something like £70-£80+ . Printing your own CD covers has been a thing since the 80s. Printing GOOD covers has been a thing since the 2000s at least. And it isn't hard to get your hands on a BluRay cover in this day and age.

And i played the whole thing at 1080p fsr upscaled on my tv thru steam deck. Took about 15 mins to get things to run and then graphic issues...but afterwards, no issues. I honestly could even tell it was upscaled and not native.

I have personally played it twice even got the platinum trophy on the ps5 version! It is a great game. This guy evidently doesn't know a good game when he sees one. It has even won several awards and been nominated for a chance to win the game of the year award (I sincerely hope it does win)! So the evidence is there this guy knows nothing about what he is talking about.
