I think it's also the fact that the whole performance was originally going to be cut from the game, but managed to get it to be added. What a voice! - Ilkka Villi mastering the already iconic choreography. 15 years ago he just signed to be a face model and do motion capture in a videogame, and now he’s on the stage of the Game Awards re-enacting one of the most memorable moments in videogame history, and killing it with those moves! - The whole team gathering for the grand finale. - Sam Lake taking the lead and dancing like he’s at the top of the world. You love to see it!

@@saarishtthaman6951 Doesn't really matter as long as it ends up recouping its costs. I'm sure they'd have liked it to sell more, but it'll continue to sell over time - Remedy is very much not new to having their games become profitable thanks to the sales having a long tail on them rather than selling well right out of the gate. And if the game ends up on Game Pass down the road, that'll also give them a fair chunk of change. The game will definitely end up profitable, a fact I suspect both Epic and Remedy are keenly aware of.

Gotta say this: Matthew Porretta should have appeared at the end of the video, he learned the choreography just for the event and he dances along at the end - you barely see him dancing here, but you can see that on "people's reaction" videos of this marvelous performance. Regardless, Sam Lake's ocean smile says everything!
