@@yellowbat79 Agreed. Tom wrote Alan into existence. But you know what is crazier? In the AWE dlc of Control it is plainly stated that Alan wrote Jesse (protagonist of Control) in to existence. So basically Alan and Thomas are playing god and creating universes.

Wow! This is actually very impressive. It's one of my favorite songs from one of my favorite artists, all brought together in one of my favorite games. The video really captures the spirit of the game and the song's rhythm and beat lined up pretty well with pacing of the video. One thing that I wanted to point out is the song isn't actually about Alan, but really about Thomas Zane. Tom's name is in the very first verse of the song, and the muse is Barbara Jagger. The lake had a magic that turned Tom's words to life, and he tried to use that power to bring his muse back. Instead nightmares were formed in that lake, which brought Barbara back with darkness in her eyes. However, the song is also kind of mirroring Alan's plight as well.

Ah yes the game that started my addiction, my husband actually played Alan Wake I watched, he stopped to see if a real band was used in the game, he only likes Carnival of Rust and Lift, me too many to say... ALL. l I love how this song sounds like a Old Folk song. My favorite lines. "Now if it's real or just a dream one mystery remains, for it is said on moonless nights they may still haunt this place." To those of you who don't know,there will more than likely be another alan wake game because in the song "Balance Slays The Demon" there is a message you can here if you play the song backwards that says "It will happen again in another town.A town called ordinary"

That's no guarantee. Sam Lake (lead writer and one of the heads of Remedy) has stated that they aren't working on a sequel because they can't find anyone to fund the game. If their new game Quantum Break works out they may get a break but as of right now a sequel is unlikely.

Agreed bro! I bought this the day it came out back in 2010. It took me a little longer to finish because I would not play it during the day. The only way to play it is at night, when it's dark, with your headphones on. It has its flaws, but it is one of my Top 5 favorite games ever.

the sad thing you cannot get this song anywhere but on the disc that came with the game. I had to rip it off there to use it on my mp3 player. Not in itunes anywhere. searching the song or poets of the fall albums this song never comes up. Not even on the offical soundtrack of the game, just on that spare disc. The weirdest thing ever.
