To know that you are God is another way of saying that you feel completely with this universe. You feel profoundly rooted in it and connected with it. You feel, in other words, that the whole energy which expresses itself in the galaxies is intimate. It is not something to which you are a stranger, but it is that with which you (whatever that is) are intimately bound up. That-in your seeing, your hearing, your talking, your thinking, your moving-you express that which it is which moves the sun and other stars. And if you don’t know that, if you don’t feel that-well, naturally, you feel alien, you feel a stranger in the world. And if you feel a stranger, you feel hostile. And therefore you start to bulldoze things about, to beat it up, and to try and make the world submit to your will, and you become a real troublemaker.

The times I really feel this - to truly knew this to be True, is during meditation, yoga, doing art and dance- and finally in an intense real-isation -through DMT and ayahuasca. To REMEMBER we are as "God" is the hard part, as filters and conditioning reassert themselves on our consciousness. Society is being misled everyday by powerful media/gov'nt, equalling an Insecure Society-as Alan described elsewhere. Our Truth is being choked everyday with sad distractions/monetary dreams/self loathing.

Some people believe that we are a construct of God's cosmic consciousness." Some people want to give the glory to God, as if they had the glory to give. Anyone out there know of anyone who's writings are similar to Alan Watts'(same philosophy different way of putting it)...I love reading Alan's books but have read everything he has ever done including listening to all his lectures. I've already read all of J. Krishnamurti and Ram Dass who are similar also. I'd appreciate it.

@33Barker Therefore I could say, we are meant to be nothing! Becoming everything we need to become here in this physical life and returning back to nothing, with the experience which evolves us in some to me unknown way and for some to me unknown purpose and for some to me unknown reason. If it is unknown to me - I can't just say there is no way, purpose or cause. :) Being open is A LOT - you start to experience remarkable yet reason unexplainable things ;) Consciousness is everything!

@Foldisfitch I recommend reading Osho aka Rajneesh Though some of his statements are a bit radical and shocking (usually intentionally), his work I find very liberating. I'm also a big fan of Yogananda, Vivekananda, and Swami Sivananda. I also recommend reading Nisargadatta Maharaj and his discussions. Finally, if you are a fan of Ram Dass, I strongly suggest reading the recent book by Krishna Das and the one by Bhagavan Das. Both really good books IMO.

Last week he said he invented the door knob and was demanding royalties every time a human on this planet turn one. He said he was losing billions upon billions every day. @hrvatinaism I don't need to prove the contrary, in fact I can't actually prove anything 100% true or 100% false. All I can do is look at the situation and judge how probable it is. I start everything from a position of doubt. Try that with religion and see how far you get. The POV that we are all gods is just as valid as the claim that we are not or the claim that there is a god. PS... many things in the bible are demonstrably false, and many are historically false.
