So, the reason why the tower glowed red is because that is how time is told in the world of Re:ZERO. They use magic crystals that change colours to tell time. Each day is divided into daylight and daydark (12 hours each) Daylight and daydark are further divided into wind time (0-6) and fire time (6-12), and water time(12-18) and earth time (18-24) respectively. The magic crystal they use glows green during wind time, red during fire time, blue during water time and yellow during earth time. This is just some info from s1 novels.

This episode’s mistranslation: When Regulus is criticizing Sirius, he says it’s weird for her to take Betelgeuse’s last name. He finds honoring someone after they’re dead strange and that true love means finding someone else and moving on. Sirius believes in the opposite, that love will always remain. Of course, her love is also not love either. The way it’s worded in the subs is weird.

@@burritoxman1690 every Archbishop are techincally a "witch" of their generation, they just follow the gospel and adopted another name, but they have the witch factors that grant the power of a witch, in fact, most of them are even more powerfull than their witch counterpart

A bit more context from the novels about why Garfiel didn't want to tell his mother about their relationship/history: Lishia Tinzel (Garf's mom) was born to a family in severe poverty. In order to make money and reduce their financial burden, her family sold her to sex traffickers when she was fairly young - which is the environment she grew up in. Both Frederica and Garfiels bio-fathers were members of that sex-trafficking syndicate, which is something both Garf & Fred are aware of. That's why in S2 Garfiel wanted his mother to find happiness despite abandoning them - as well as why he assumed she had considered them a burden on her life - since they WERE the product of horrific sexual abuse she had suffered. So you can understand why - after discovering that she was actually still alive, and not only had gotten married to a kind, caring man who loved her and had a happy, stable life with 2 children - she had ALSO suffered an accident that ridded her of her memories of her childhood of horrific sexual abuse - Garf was completely unwilling to get involved in her new life. He doesn't want to put any of that awful past life back onto her... even if it comes at the expense of forgetting about him. As for why this was cut from the anime - that kind of subject matter takes a LOT of time to really give the weight and depth it really deserves to be "appropriately" handled in the same way the books do (since Lishia also suffered from some pretty severe Stockholm syndrome towards her former captors - to the extent that she wanted to go and find Garfiel's father so she could "Make him take responsibility for his child!") - and an anime just... doesn't have the screen time to dedicate to something like that without massively killing the pacing. Whereas a book can still get away with that kind of thing.

im not sure if garfs mothers amnesia is due to gluttony, i think its just injury from the rockslide, its possible gluttony might be invloved though but i think its unrelated

Eh in an anime where everyone loses their memories to Gluttony it makes sense to think it might be the case here. Honestly having watched the current episodes I’m still not 100% sure that Gluttony didn’t have a part in it lol

Yes it has to be Gluttony that ate Garf's Mom's memories because in Re Zero it is said (I forget where or if it was even in the anime), that even when someone's memories get eaten, their body remembers routines they would have before their memories were eaten. SO the fact that Garf's Mom knew what tea to make him only further gives us the proof to think that Gluttony had something to do with her memories being gone
