Im a fifty year old guy who remembers the 90's vividly before deploying to the war in Iraq in the early days of it all. I had a dear Buddy that loved her CD. He lost his life and I've never stopped missing my Bro. I ran across this today while kayaking on the lake. It brought back the old days when I'd make fun of him for liking her music. Now as I age and turn grey, it reminds me of how much I miss him and his brotherhood. The world is a lesser place without you Mike....

Preach it Alanis. The total devastation, betrayal, and heartache, you feel when your lover leaves you, and then you discover they love and are loved by someone else. Like salt in a wound. She captures that pain exquisitely. 'So forgive me love, for the salt in your bed'..

Would you forgive me love if I danced in your shower Would you forgive me love if I laid in your bed Would you forgive me love if I stay all afternoon? This is the 1st time I've ever heard this track. Didnt even know it existed until yesterday. I made a post about my wife and I cooking dinner together while listening to all the hits from Jagged little pill and how it's the little moments like this that make being married to someone you love and adore so awesome. Well someone commented about the hidden track and my mind was blown as, despite having owned and loved this album when I was young, didn't even know it existed. What a hauntingly beautiful song.

You'd have to wrestle with those powerful feelings that go along with it, too, so be very careful what you wish for. People who sing with this extreme emotional power have extremely strong emotions projecting all that out of them most of the time... Sinead O'Connor Alanis Adele Whitney Houston Kelly Clarkson Gaga Sia Cyndi Lauper You'll be hard-pressed to ever hear a narcissist sing with the forceful emotive power the females above can (or could, for the deceased) belt out because they lack the emotional depth, but you will certainly hear them sing about how they were wronged (Taylor Swift, John Mayer, Eric Clapton, and many, many others).
@crybaby3734 жыл бұрын
How can so many people dislike this awesome song???? 🤷🏻♀️
@le_th_6 ай бұрын
Well, duh...lots of empathy-deficient cheaters in the world don't want to be reminded of what scummy narcissists they are, and how they're incapable of loving anyone. You realize that only slightly more than 50% of people are decent, empathic human beings with a well-calibrated moral compass, and about 40% of the global population are composed of serial-cheating narcissists, serial-cheating borderlines, serial-cheating histrionics, serial-cheating sociopaths, and ice-cold, entirely morally bankrupt psychopaths who are physiologically incapable of bonding to anyone including their own children and parents. So if no one ever told you, now you know. This is why the world is such an f'ed up place and also why reality tv is so popular.

It reached #1 {for 2 weeks} on October 7th, 1995 on Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart and the next year on March 16th, 1996 it regained the #1 position, this time for 9 non-consecutive weeks...
