This song has given me the courage and strength to call a rehab this morning to check myself in. I can not live like this anymore :(

I hope you're doing okay. This song helped me a lot when I was getting clean 10 years ago. Well actually.. I kind of tortured myself with this song. But, ya know, same difference..

How are you Chris? I can't get into a rehab, I don't qualify for any financial assistance & I don't have a cent to my name & never have so I'm gonna beat my addictions through my own hope & sheer desire to be better. I hope your situation has improved over the year since you left this message, you aren't alone, there are millions of us out there who need help but it's great that you recognize that. All the best Chris

this very song, if not the whole album, inspired me to leave my abusive husband 20 years ago when it came out. Alanis, my strength relied heavily on these words. True story. Thank you.......

I remember listening to this song in the 1990s. My sister could drive and I wasn’t old enough to. She would blast this song, and I would stare out the window as the world passed by. I didnt’ quite understand this song, but it made so much sense at the time.

A song I could play again and again. Puts in perspective the angst people deal with everyday, often silently.

Missing my mommy (always)! Her name was "MARIJANE" (spelled with an "i" vs. "y"), Anzalone-Trodella. This song was popular as she was battling breast cancer, she passed away in '98. Still miss her madly- (always)! This song always depressed us, (and still), But I always enjoy the last verse from where it starts: "You're the sweet crusader …You're the last great innocent, and that's why, I LOVE YOU." She was the best- Miss both mom and daddy- R.I.P.

What is the matter... well, it hasn't been easy being innocent in these times! I have no idea how I made it to 42. I just became "spiritually awake" this week and realized I am Mary Jane... I have been getting clues all my life but have refused to wake up. But well, and now I "HEAR" your song for the first time.... I wish to answer all of your questions... very deep moment for me. Love&Respect-(LB

Even though this song was written about a girl it reminds me of my love. It totally resignates with what he goes through on a daily bases. He suffers from a mental illness and it tears me apart to see him go through changes and it affects me as well. The lyrics and melody makes me cry.
