A friend at her record label wanted me to go to her show in 1995 just before she exploded. It was a free ticket. I didn’t want to go. I had to be convinced. I finally went. And I was blown the fuck away. She was phenomenal! Ran into another friend who was there. They had tears in their eyes. Said, “I didn’t want to her leave the stage!” I raced to get the album after that. Been a fan since.

It’s disgusting how good she is and how powerful she is live. Blows my mind. I love this video. She really sounds incredible. You can tell she is having fun with some of the high notes and the reverb on her voice makes her sounds absolutely legendary (not that she needs it). She is probably the most powerful vocalist I have ever heard love. She has to pull the mic back so far and it’s still crazy how powerful it is. Alanis forever!
