@@arielmedrano8098. Yeah, it's one of the extremely rare albums where each & every song is amazing, yet, she still had to fight in order to make this album. Her label wanted more "radio pop type music" being that she was apart of Canadian's version of Disney/Nickelodeon type of shows as a kid. She wanted to distance herself from that child like image & create music about real issues. At only 19, the fact that she was able to reinvent herself & create one of the best albums of all time is absolutely amazing!

The idea came from Alanis. She basically said, I want the video to be a parade and I'm driving the car with the beauty queen. And that was it. I thought it was a great idea. From there, I just developed it visually and made a list of senarios that I wanted to see and we could afford from a production standpoint. I felt her idea was spot on, the metaphor was perfect.

Wade Crum . The bass on that entire album was very good. It gave the music a sense of depth to it. Nirvana’s last song really kicked up the bass in 94 and then you’ve got RHCP and The Offspring swinging off bass at the back end of the 90s. So yeah, no wonder this album sold a billion copies in 96 😄
