Maybe the funniest 5 minutes anywhere on KZbin! Rebecca Front is hot, the arrangements are superb, and I love the way that Partridge skips after the medley finishes. One of his rare successes !

Inside Alan's universe, this has got to be the high point of his career! I love how, from 4:00 onwards in the Dancing Queen sequence, there are people in the studio audience who are almost screaming with laughter.

Also, I wonder if this is another example of what Mark Kermode talked about in his review of Pierce Brosnan's "singing" in Mamma Mia: ABBA songs are so unbreakably, unkillably brilliant that even a terrible rendition of them is still, somehow, enormously entertaining.

Why did the communists at the BBC not give him a second series?
@liamwhitcombe12376 жыл бұрын
jarsonist Possibly because he wasn't a perverted paedophile & they saw him as a liability to their sordid little secret
@metafis24905 жыл бұрын
Alan was signed up to the BBC with a 5 year conetract after Tony Hayers died. (His successor also died and Alan forged his signature). It's not clear if he actually did the second series of KMKYWAP, which would have been in the same fictional time-line as the second series of "I'm Alan Partridge" .
@annother33504 жыл бұрын
Didn't he do a 2nd series just a few years back but It wasn't quite to to the same standard

He got a Christmas special, I think... That could have been before this. But he sort of ended the series in a way that would cause it to end, if that makes sense. This whole show is a parody, and Steve Coogan is playing a part. The character kills someone in the final episode. You wouldn't give the character another series. I think...
