It will be very interesting to see how this develops going forward. I am really hoping HA will convert to AS at a 1:1 ratio

What is your prediction for how the miles between HA and AS will convert?

Quite the totality of mergers over decades. So much for shopping the competition when you look into who owns who it is a bunch of brands owned by the same few companies. Rare until up to a few years ago up until a year (though there was significant antitrust actions ~half a century and before) and change ago to see suits suing and using antitrust.

I think Honolulu could be a great hub between North America and the South Pacific, Australia and New Zealand, giving connections at SFO and LAX a run for it’s money. I don’t think it will be a good hub for Asia as it just adds too much flight time compared to direct flights.

SEA could also become a MUCH better Asia gateway hub.

This would be a very interesting duo but I suspect it would be blocked by regulators. If it did work, what do you think is the most likely way the status would match between each other?
