The housing inspectorate should monitor all changes made by the owners to the redevelopment of the apartment, but in practice the owners may not allow the inspection into the apartment! Therefore, in real life, almost no one will forbid making 10 apartments with an area of 6 square meters out of a three-room apartment with an area of 60 square meters! In this case, there is a serious violation of fire safety, three doors should not be in this way! If the fire inspector sees this video, the owner will have serious problems!

There's absolutely no storage space, even for basic things like many clothes, bed linen, towels, books, suitcases, etc, so it's convenient only for someone who wants to stay there for a short time, not for someone who wants to live there for years. Two improvements the owner could make to free up space (I've lived for years in 12-18 sq meters, so I know what I'm talking about) : 1) The bed takes up too much space. The bed mattress could be put on a loft so the space under the bed would be freed. 2) The fridge is too big for 1 person, he could have installed a much smaller fridge (around the size of the cupboards under the sink) and free the entire space above the fridge in order to place the microwave oven and above it have one more cupboard next to the others.

This apartment is divided for rent in parts. It is easier to rent three small apartments than one relatively large one, since the cost of renting a large apartment will be more than the mortgage payment for it. My sister lived in an apartment of 16 square meters (+2 meters of balcony). It's very small even for one person, so she swapped it for an apartment three times bigger.

Personaly i don't like full size beds in such small places because they are ' eating' a useful space.

Usually there are all kinds of folding sofas (on the cheaper side) or beds lifting into wall/furniture like rush hour seats in the subway (more expensive).

20m² apartments are common in Europe. They're often called a garconniere (bachelor's pad), although that word might have a certain different meaning in some countries 😂 It's an apartment for singles, not couples. I've never heard of one as small as 15m² though. Mostly people buy them with intention to rent them out. No one plans on being single forever. If your parents are rich, you might get one when you move out, but regular people don't bother buying them. They're too much money for such a small space.

My only concern with those would be the micro-apartment doors crashing into each other in the case of everyone getting out in an emergency. I think the 5 metres of corridor could have been used a bit better for the four doors needed, perhaps by opening inwards to the apartments.
