We just returned from our Quantum of the seas cruise 22-29May23 ( our first Alaskan as well) . We had an embarkation time of 12:30pm arrived at 11:30am after leaving our hotel. Our experience was the same as yours, we were able to go through the check in process and onto the ship in no time. Also did the safety drill within a half hour and then the rest of the week was ours to enjoy. Pizza was our first meal as well lol. We were on deck 7-118 obviously not as nice as your mini suite, but nice. The balcony was nice too but unfortunately the weather was not good for hanging out there as it rained every day but one. Big shout out to Tracy and her team at the Sky bar, they were there every day in inclement weather and I made a special effort to get my drinks from them. Thank you for sharing, I really enjoyed this video!

I worked in Skagway 2017 as a coach bus driver/guide. I then took 2 1/2 weeks and traveled all over Alaska. Alaska is amazing! Enjoy!!

Now that you had several nights sleeping on your bed …. Would you still say it’s comfortable? To me, felt like I was laying on a piece of plywood. I’m a side sleeper so woke up in the mornings with sore hips. But really… that’s my worst complaint about Quantum of the Seas. I loved the experience

The long days really threw me off. The sun was setting at around 9:45 and rising at 4:35, me being from thr east coast was up for sunrise every morning. Music Hall on Quantum had the best espresso martini!

Good job! Icon of the Seas should be on your bucket list next! If you thought Quantum class was big, Icon is twice as big. The Oasis class too. If you saw them next to each other you wouldn't believe how small Quantum class is. Enjoy Alaska, we will be up there again for the third trip next May.

I got to cruise on that ship last year , and I’m so glad we got a balcony suite . It’s where we spent the majority of our time , because I didn’t want to miss ANYTHING 😊. We went in sept so it was that chilly until early morning . We asked for extra blankets so we could have our coffee while watching the mountains go by. ❤ I hope that I get to go back again ❤fromTX
