My bush pilot uncle flew his little Piper to Alaska in 1954 before it became a state. Been up there since. Need get back up there for a visit and to do a little fishing again.

I have been fortunate enought to fish Alaska and hands down best experience of my life. My brothers and I targeted arctic grayling inbthe fairbanks area with no guides just talking to local fly shops and we was successful. Very rewarding to go do something so foreign to me and actually have success.

Was born in Fairbanks but moved when I was 4. One of these days I'll make it up there to go fishing. This kinda reminds me of fishing striper boils on lake Powell. A lot of fun and no catch limit - they want you to keep them all. Makes really good fish tacos😂

Good morning. I didn't know you were in Alaska. Those terns or mew gulls or whatever were great to see there. Save the salmon and how do they taste? : )

I was fortunate enough to experience this myself. Absolutely incredible insane battle fly fishing for these monster trout. Large tube flies were the ticket!
