I wore my shirt today on my way from SoCal to Monterey, Ca. Be Kind, Be Free, Be Happy. My BFF in Pismo Beach loved it. I have my 12 year old grand daughter with me, we have been planning/dreaming about this trip for 2 years. It's finally come to fruition. We are having a blast. Lots of things to see and do. I use the plastic bags at the supermarket. They become poop bags for cleaning up after my dog. Also trash bags. I try to reuse or recycle everything I can.

I love carrot ginger soup too 😋 but I saute minced sweet yellow onion and shallot, add grated carrots and sometimes a sweet potato, add chicken broth, cook, add fresh grated ginger and some orange rind just before serving.

When you were showing your sandwich and describing it an idea popped into my head for something I'm going to try. I eat plant based and haven't seen any sliced sandwich veg-slices but I recently got a dehydrator to make fruit-scoby leathers; when you said deli slices out of chickpeas that lit up my imagination, I'm going to try dehydrating some deli slices of some of the legumes I cook. I have lentil with celery, carrots, cabbage, and turmeric and black pepper cooking for dinner, that is for me as well as my fur babies. I think I will try dehydrating some of it and see if I can make deli-slices.

Rode my motorcycle up there a few years ago. Get used to all the road construction. Don't know how far you are going. I went all the way to Homer on the 50th anniversary of the Alcan Hyw. Watch out for the frost heaves on the roads.

Food is more expensive here that's for sure. The great selection at most stores is recent, kombucha being available only in the last year. Fields store is in every small town in Western Canada (maybe East too, I don't know). Enjoy our beautiful country while you can. While we all can.

Fun times! Thanks for letting me ride along! I would be just as excited about first grocery shopping expedition in Canada. I could never sit bags of groceries in the camper with my fur babies, especially if there was an avocado or carrots in the bag, I am scared that mine could choke on the avocado pit, I have to put my groceries away in a contained area or they would think I was giving it to them. GREAT TIP about knowing the height and width of camper in meters when traveling in Canada! Safe travels!

After I was in an accident where I flew around the car like a rag dog with no control, and my head taking out the rear view mirror with tons of blood, I now wear my seat belt when get in to wash the windows. Only takes once.

Mike Mead i have a friend that wouldnt wear hers. She was in an accident where she broke both collar bones and had several other injuries. Doc said he had only seen dead people with both collar bones broken. She proablywould have been in the windshield except she had just bought a car with automatc shoulder belts. She wore one for a while aftwr that, then stopped until she fell in love and was told they didnt want her to die. Hopefully our posts will get a few to put theirs on. We can hope

OMG...I was totally lured in by the veggie sammich....gluten free too. Capone looked so adorable when you asked if he thought there was anything in the bag for him. 😊 Thanks for showing us the veggie options there. I try to eat whole foods, but it's nice to know when you get a craving for something special that it can be found while you are travelling. The Daiya cheesecakes were reasonably priced and I didn't know how you passed the pie up until I saw the butter and milk when I looked the company up. This video was an excellent share. Thank you!
