Prayers for your precious Grandmother, I was blessed to care for my mom her last year this side of heaven, it was challenging but oh my goodness I would not trade that preious time for anything. The quality time and intimacy of being there for her when she needed me was so special, our chats, laughs and endless conversations fill my thoughts and memories. I buy boxed cake mixes 1 to make a cake but I use a can of Sprite to mix it up, 2 I melt a stick of butter/margarine put it in your cake mix with chocolate chips or whatever flavor you like and candy pieces and make cookies. It's just easier for me to bake this way 💜

Love the small pasta shells for my macaroni salad. Other than those thin spaghetti & linguini we also keep a lot of Mini Penne. My families favorite is Olive Garden House Italian dressing. You really don't owe anyone an explanation, it's nobody else's business why you buy what you buy. Besides you are a "modern" homestead. 😉 Glad your grandma is home recovering.

Glad your grandma is better. I make chili Mac about once a month in the fall/winter. Our local store had American Beauty 1lb pasta .99 each a about 6 weeks ago. I got 10. Then 2 weeks ago they had them .69. I got 10-12 that time 😁. I'm starting a little pantry in a tub since I live in an apartment. I have pasta, canned corn, tuna and sardines so far.

That teal color pumpkin put out at your home means it is food allergy safe since so many people have food allergies. I believe it means that you offer non food toys or trinket! I think it is through the FOOD ALLERGY NETWORK. Having one with food allergies, I am very appreciative.

My daughter and my mom both loved orzo in broth . Very easy to get down and digest . Sometimes they would want the shake Parmesan cheese in the green container. My mom passed in March of 2019 and my daughter in March of 2022 . I love Kraft zesty Italian dressing and always buy Pace salsa and sweet and spicy pickles. Thank you for the video . Whatever brand it is that makes the cheese sticks that have Paw Patrol on them are the BEST!! I have no idea who is the maker and I looked on the package. They just have the best texture and flavor. Some company in Wisconsin so I guess that would make sense. They know cheese!! Prayers for Grandma and all of you!! Hope she will be OK. It is hard when family ages. It’s just funny the number of folks around when the person needs care. She is not the first grandparent we took on. I just think I had more energy for it when I was younger, had the fact it’s my Gmom as opposed to Aaron’s grandpa, it’s harder for me emotionally to see what she is facing now. I just pray when it’s my turn God sends me a me! I care for her the same way I want to be cared for.

Ok Jess. I said in the last video you looked stressed (justified with Gmom). Today I have to say you looked so much more calm and I truly believe it was because you bought convenience foods (suddenly salad, cake mix etc) so you don't feel you have to make everything from scratch. I stocked up on pastas too. But we are having a field mouse problem. They chewed trough two bags of my pasta. We have metal racks like yours in your garage and they climbed them I guess. I'm waiting for Amazon to get my plastic storage containers here now. Meanwhile I wapped the sides of the rack with plastic wrap to try to keep them away. Also bought plug in repellant high frequency things and put glue traps out all over. We live in a rural area with farm land with rice fields and soy beans and crawfish farms. Ugh.
