So many content creators seem to have these endless budgets and buy all of the shiny new things in the biggest box full of stuff you've ever seen et cetera. I appreciate the fact that you're candid about life situations that have happened and how you're dealing with them I applaud you. Keep on keeping on Sister Sledge and God bless❤

You can grow ginger in flower pots with sunny windows indoors. When it gets warm next summer, take them outside and harvest in the fall or repot and wait another year for more or bigger root stock. That bread rack would make a great drying rack. You can also replace the solid trays with screens for air circulation. I have processed 120 pounds of tomatoes in a year (3x40 pound cases) a few times. Over 60 pounds went into 21 quarts of basic crushed tomatoes (~3lbs/quart), 750ml jars of tomato sauce (not sure if it was 14 or 21 of those), 35 or more pints of salsa, 14 half pints of antipasto relish, and several pints of tomato juice. The tomatoes available at the markets here come from BC and this year were not great (or maybe they were early and I missed them). I've still got lots of salsa left but I'm buying canned tomatoes to restock the pantry for the first time in many years. Depending on how long we avoid frost, I may have a bumper crop of cherry and grape tomatoes, but it's always touch and go being close to the mountains (in Alberta). Good sale prices on on root vegetables and squash are starting so the dehydrator will be going full time for the next month or so.

Hi Jessica. For your ginger, you can just put it into the freezer as is. When you need it for a recipe you just grate it frozen - it tastes like fresh. It’s so much easier to grate that way too since the fibre is more brittle it’s rarely an issue. This works with fresh turmeric root too. Happy preserving!

I read this after I bought Quail eggs at Business Costco. Fill a large bowl with room temperature water and gently place the eggs in the bowl. The good eggs will sink to the bottom, while any eggs past their prime will float with the pointed end down. Discard the floating eggs, as they're not safe to eat. Definitely check eggs. Several floated in our batch.

I have a question totally off topic.. I was wondering how you liked your freezer that has the drawers in it. Do you find it holds a lot . I am considering buying 2 because i am always worried about my upright door opening because something has moved inside. Thanks for your awesome videos.!!!!

Let us know when you eat a hard-boiled quail egg with cucumber and cracker. Trying new things is always fun. Nice video.

🌻Jessica, another great video i enjoyed the dream kitchen part i love doing things like that 😊 Jamerrill would love the dishwasher and probably many other things there she is so sweet . You and her would have so much to talk about . Your son was the hero so sweet of him . i hope you all had a fantastic girl's night . Jess you are so informative I enjoy listening to everything you talk about I'm glad you got the quail eggsi just watched another channel today she made pickled quail eggs ( Meagan- True Grit Appalachian Ways) they are homesteaders in North Carolina they grow about 80%of their food. You might get some ideas from her especially about the quail eggs. ❤ Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow ❤
