Thanks for the winter interlude. We spent Eight years off grid in Alaska in the 1970s and Solstice was always celebrated. Back then we had a dog team rather than a snow machine but I will admit they sure are handy. My wife and I are enjoying your videos.

Those drone shots was like a Christmas card in it selfe. Beautiful. The darkest day of the year means 3 hours of daylight where i am and i cant wait for the return of longer days, day by day. Love winter, especially late winter, near spring when the sun is beating down on us but the snow is still deep. It's not "nourishing for the soul" it's frigging exhausting. Videos like this unfortunately romantize a life that isn't as Hallmark Movie as this. But then again, real people doing backbreaking labor in frigid conditions and doesn't look like it stepped off a xmas greeting card gets the same amount of views does it?

I love all of these sounds, but my FAVORITE is the crunching of the snow, when he walks. The food looks delicious - all of it! This guy can cook. I wish I could cook that good. I wish I could flip an egg like that and not have the yellow bust. I can't even keep the yellow from busting, when I use a spatula and am super careful! 🤣 The dog is beautiful. And I love the cabin. So cozy and peaceful. I wish we got snow in Raleigh, NC., but we don't anymore. Thumbs up!!

Merry Christmas! For your wood stove use stove polish for cast iron and wood stove paint for the plate steel parts. Also have a bucket of sand ready to put out the stove in a emergency.
