UPDATE: AG, you made a video a few back that had the Nido Bulk can of Milk. It made me go check dates. Mine expired in Aug 22. I was worried a wasted money. Well, I am currently going through it right now. It is STILL good!!! So, if any of your viewers have some of it that is expired...please check it before you throw it out. Make sure you use very WARM water to mix it up.

Thanks, I was wondering about exactly that! Noticed mine had expired.

You both are very welcome. It stayed in mostly a temperature controlled environment. That room from summer to winter (I'm in the South) stays between 55 to 78 degrees through the seasons. The room has blacked out windows. So, it was a year and a half passed BB date in those conditions.

Those "best by" dates are pretty arbitrary. I'm currently using items 3 years past date and everything has been just fine. I wouldn't discard anything until I've opened it and found it to be obviously foul. Sacramento, California USA 🇺🇸

@@rangerannie5636 I never toss first. EVER. Last night in our vegetable beef and barley soup, I used a can of green beans that expired in 2020. They were totally fine. Even if you don't think you have something expired or close to it....CHECK! I thought I was rotating well. There's always something that gets pushed to the back. Never fails.

A pantry meal I like to pull out in a pinch is a box of (dehydrated) AuGratin Potatoes, a can of chicken and a can of green beans. I use Nido milk, butter powder and the liquid from the cans to make the potatoes. Sacramento, California USA 🇺🇸

Southern favorite is the field peas & snaps with cornbread. Same here( Fla) with the Butterbean so I bought 2 cans when I seen them. Many things are long seen in-betweens. Question AG,❓️ do you see jet vapor ? lines in the sky as much as we have? Many in other states are observing them also & now the weather alert are saying we could have a higher chance of nighttime tornados. Never seen so many gray days. Like someone's blotting out the sun with clouds. Wonder if Noah seen them when he looked up & said, Humm🤪😇?

Still finding what we use at our DT, but I don't count on them always being there. That's one of the reasons why I have a prepper pantry. Great tips, AG. Thanks for sharing! Blessings to you and your family!

Mustard is also good for muscle cramps. My grandma used to make mustard plaster for everything from a sprained ankle to a congested chest.

I picked up some Margaret Holmes different vegetable blend to keep food fatigue away. That brand has a number of blends , but they are not easy to find. I think they would be good to make rice and beans more palatable. There are fewer good food products at Dollar Tree, but I still pick some up, like the gnocchi, tortillas, large cans of black beans and sometimes tomatoes. I mayhave mentioned the healthier version of "Nutella" that is on Dllar Tree shelves. I get the herring flat cans, as we like fish. The protein count is high and it will go far in rice. Mine still has plenty of the cherry pie filling.I find it a little tart, so a little sweetener and a few drops of almond extract makes great pie, dessert topping for cake or ice cream, or to use as a layer in a parfait or triffle. I no longer see the Campbell's Sipping Soups there, which is too bad. They are more than twice as much in stores and I put them in my emergency bag, as I got stuck overnight in a hospital with only candy in a vending machine.

Good advice. If people get their food delivered heard that often the handling of these shipments can have dented cans or older stock, so good idea to look over those cans, boxes and other packages to make sure they're not broken or dented. A Dollar Tree closest to us is closing, said the building sold so when I went in last weekend, there were many bare shelves. Was told that they aren't going to re-open another one and just telling employees to relocate to other stores. We went to another location and they also had some shelves not fully stocked, also less selection of products in their gardening supplies. Double check prices for the canned vegetables, we have been able to find many of what is at Dollar Tree for $1.25 each on sale and cheaper at our grocery store when they do their weekly sale flyer.

Q Prepping is a fantastic idea! 😢 Today's been a depressing preppers day for me. My favorite jam. The entire line, Knotts Berry Farm jams have been discontinued. 😢 Boisenberry jam was my favorite. Prep like you've never prepped before! Why? Something that's been a historic line suddenly completely gone...is a huge RED FLAG and sign of bad things to come. Q ❤

Great tips! Butter beans and cornbread = my favorite comfort food dish😋 I'm not sure what my store has or doesn't have. The last couple of times I've been, there were empty spots on a lot of the shelves, but there were also tons of boxes sitting in the aisles. There were several employees working, so I don't know what was going on.

I use DTree mustard for basting all my meats. It adheres the seasonings to the meat. I don't taste the mustard at all. I love Meat Church seasonings and videos. I love Margaret Holmes cans at Dt: Collard Greens, Lima Beans, Okra, Tomato and Corn. Makes a southern dish that is pretty good. I needs to slack off a bit on my prepping. Got too much for right now.
