There are many things about my Klee Kai that are considered the best. But my all time favorite is how loyal/protecting she (the breed) is. I’ll lay on the floor and let My roommates hit me (just a light slap) and my Klee Kai will run up and lay on my chest and nip at my roommates hands. She knows we’re just playing but I just love how protective and loyal she is.

We have an AKK, she’s the best. She is larger than most at 32 pounds, and she has retractable claws. Great companion dog, not overly talkative, timid around kids.

Cool. Much better choice then alaska husky for people just wanting to gobfor walks. They end up rehomed. Maybe a klee kai would be good choice for a small dog next time among my big huskies.

My klee doesn't talk much. Also I'd describe her as clever, but not as smart as my pitbull. Love them both to death. (Also, she'll only listen if she wants) she has been through puppy classes, stubborn as a mule! 🤣

I read that they shed a lot. What has been your experience. Are the hairs all over your nice work clothes, sofa, etc... for instance?

Yes they can shed a lot and fur could be all over your clothes. Routine brushing can help with some fur being all over your home and clothes but yes they shed and yes you will have fur on your clothes at times. Roller brush is my best friend

We have one in South Florida. She doesn’t mind the sun at all, but not too much of it. She is happier when it is cool out though.

My little guy is the perfect companion. I only work a few hours a day so we spend all our time together camping, hiking, and lounging on the family farm. He has been nothing but a gentleman in public, but does like to interact more either women than men. He gets plenty of excersise and lives to run the fields on our daily walks and bike rides. How did you learn about breeding them?

Years ago we bred wolf hybrids and after we had kids we switched to a smaller breed. We wanted something similar to the husky and wolf look and found the Alaskan Klee Kai.

Breeders have a waiting list for puppies and so you would most likely not find one available. You would need to be on a wait list for some time

They are as cute as can be but their shedding didn't get any better and blowing a heavy coat twice a year is too much for me.

Klee Kai is a Athabaskan word not Eskimo or inuit. The Athabaskan are a indigenous American tribe they are not Inuit.

I don't think Eskimo is the preferred term anymore. It's a colonial name given by colonists. Its probably Inuit.
