Why hunt if you become emotional like little kid that fell of his bike? As a grown man expert at killing being emotional is either an act or wasted potential. It was cringe more than anything else. Like a butcher crying over the lives he takes, makes no sense.
@mechanichandz80872 жыл бұрын
@@soltcolt4506 the emotional aspect is connected to how much research, physical work, and effort put in to that hunt and becoming successful. the butcher either was provided the carcass or obtained it from the farm. when you hunt wild lands that likely you are not familiar with its a entirely different story. a vast majority big game hunters do become emotional in one aspect or another.

I just went on a rifle moose hunt in Newfoundland for my Make-a-Wish trip in September. It surprised me how similar our hunts were, the thick terrain, tons of glassing, the lowest of lows on days where we didn't see anything, and just like you, this was my dream hunt. It didn't help that we were caught up in hurricane Fiona while we were there. On our second to last day, nearing sunset we see a nice bull but he winds us and he is gone. The next morning we went to the same spot and as sure as dawn, he comes right to the call. On the hike, I tripped on a root and my gun fell off of my shoulder and, not to my knowledge, smacked the scope. The bull came within 100 yards and when it came time to shoot, I shot three times, missing all three. I was devastated,. How could miss a shot so easily? what did I do wrong? Did I just waste my make-a-wish? We hiked back to the cabin and sighted in my gun, I was shooting 5 FEET HIGH AT 100 YARDS! This is when I realized that I hit my scope when I fell. We got the gun sighted in and hunted the rest of our last day, you can guess how that went. I learned some valuable lessons, one of which being hunting isn't all about the harvest. It is nice to see someone else succeed even after making some minor mistakes. Great hunt Chris, I am truly jealous.

Your bow is much tougher than you give it credit. I’m an Alaskan and take my bow every year. I bungee cord it to the front of the wheeler on top of all my gear. I’ve even rolled the wheeler over ontop of it multiple times. It’s never knocked the sights off. Bows are tough as nails as long as you keep them simple. 🇺🇸💪👍 I’ve been running the Fred bear authority rth since 2014. It’s never been off and it’s extremely abused.

Super cool to watch! after covid hit our family geared up with bows. Learned a lot about how important gear can be. Started working on fletching my own arrows and the boys' because they received fletchings for christmas. We all went to our first 3 d course this summer, didnt know what to expect. First target was at 25 yards, I ranged, set the sight, ranged again, strung arrow and shot. The kids did the same thing at closer distances. second target was at 40 yards for me. I ranged, loaded an arrow, ranged, followed the pin, watched the level, followed through and boom! right under the belly... Same thing happened later in the day at another set of targets... Expensive lesson to learn, I cant imagine how it would feel in this situation but its good it all worked out!
