I actually find your Iceland trip to be one of my favorites. Maybe just because it is how I found you and your micro-adventure style.

Do really enjoy these. They do help and inspire. Going on a micro adventure this weekend.

Hi Alastair....really enjoyed the insights. There were so many good points I don't think I can add to it apart from some adventures may turn into a long term project like we have done. Our adventure explores and documents the River Wye and has taken two years already. I must say I am loving your encouragement. Good on you for inspiring a generation and of course us. Until next time all the best. Mark.

Ive decided after watching this I’m going to commit to taking a bikepacking trip to the Highlands this summer. Probably July. Maybe not as remote as your Bothy Night video this time, but I think that’s what I want to work up to. Great advice! Thanks

Beautiful, awesome filming. I don't know how I have missed this vlog. But stunning, motivates to get out there and live it, just as much as all the other vlogs. Well done Alastair thanks for sharing.

Hey man, that was awesome. I get that a succinct story is important when you want to write a book or shoot a film, but does it really matter if that's not your goal? In terms of epicness and how you will remember it, it seems to me that it does not make a huge difference whether you have that clear story or not. Do you agree with this observation, or does it in fact really matter?

I need to stop spending on food and lux items, and save for a grand adventure. Coronavirus has put a slowing on some logistics and my future plans

I wish I could leave my house without being afraid of rapists, shooters, and human traffickers. I think it would help if I went in a group, but none of my friends would want to. I want to lie down in the nearby grassfield, but not alone. I want to cross the big scary road to get there, but not alone. I want to go out in a pretty dress and befriend a butterfly. I want to join a fightclub and fight with my friends (who would never agree to doing it) I want to watch the clouds and I want to travel to mordor with frodo. I want a gandalf or be the apprentace if Leonardo DaVinci. I want to stop eating and I want to sit somewhere other than my bed, couch or chair. I don't want to wait till I get older to be allowed to leave my house or else I may regret my teen years. I want the pandemic to end so I can at least play with my friends at the park afterschool. Idk, maybe in the summertime.

Nope - your name is spelled wrong. It should be Geddis. 😉
