@KevMoto Hear hear!!! I think the modern world needs Albannach...we are all enslaved by modern society. Lots of conveniences but new struggles has emerged because of lack of character development maybe because things are too convenient. Also shows in the demand people have on each other where they treat them like machines instead of human beings. Can we just tap into the inner fundamental tribal nature of every human being and get the lust for life back... The old ways of life...those without electricity, needing elbow grease and hard work lasted much more than our confounded millenia. But look at our confounded millenia...it is self destructing...lots of casualties in mental health. The Philippines needs them too OMG. I don't know why I have an affinity for Scottish music. Maybe the universal tribal nature of humankind is more connected than modern human nature.

I have seen Albannach live a half dozen times, at the Scottish games, held at the Pleasanton fair grounds, in California...and they always get the crowd up and dancing. The only negative I could possibly add, is the drums always drown out the piper. If I were the sound tec, I would change the balance. The drums should not overpower the piper.

As a "sound tech" It would be pretty difficult to achieve that in such a close quarters... The drums & pipes are all mic'd up... The more energy that gets going the harder the drums will be played. They are most likely dynamic mics too... However the pipes would most likely have a condenser mic, which is much more sensitive. By cranking up the mic on the bags will most likely cause feedback from the on stage monitors... All that being said, I cant wait until Albannach or Bronach comes back to the pleasanton games!!!! Like yourself am a fan. The energy that is in that dancing crowd up front near the stage is UNREAL!

These guys are quite lovely and talented. Please be aware if you are booking shows or in logistics, the "front man" is NOT the person to talk to. Mr. Johnson is very nice. But the brains and talent lie elsewhere.
