What do you think about NRI life? Why do some people stay abroad, and why do others return to India? Comment below 👇
@samaysingh1782 ай бұрын
Mr Hemant is not mentioning the real problems of India which are related to misbehaving, women issues, quarrels in societies and on road over trivial issues. In india, there is no road discipline and accidents are common every day. There are issues with our health care, corruption, legal system and policing. Your life have no value if you are not well connected politically, you just need to get into one trouble to realize this. His kid is born in the US so he can go and work there once grown up but that privilege is not available to kids who are born in India. The struggle for making a decent living is real here. People are flocking to US from countries with GDP per capita of much higher than India. They are not stupid. He himself mentions that small apartments with hundreds of issues cost $1M in India while you can buy a villa in the US for half that price. You as a interviewer should call this out politely and not agree to everything :)

In America life is lived in the fast lane, full of conveniences. Deadlines in business are tight and are expected to be met. People will work long hours to achieve this and there is little tolerance for delay. In India, life moves at a slower pace, despite the apparently frantic buzz of the big cities. Time is viewed more as circular than linear and relationships are more important than deadlines. Time is money, they say in the USA 🇺🇸

living in India or living in western countries or abroad, both are good and it all depends what you are getting & what you need, a good climate, cleanliness, work-personal life balance etc and of course money, these all things are hard to get in India but if someone is getting all these things in India then better to stay in India else move abroad.

NRI stands for Non-Resident Indian, and it refers to Indian citizens who live outside of India for a period of time. NRIs are still Indian citizens, but they don't meet the residency requirements for certain legal matters and tax purposes. For example, NRIs can't open a PPF account or invest in the National Savings Scheme (NSCs). They also pay taxes to the government of their country of residence, which are often higher than Indian taxes. Is hemant us citizen who left usa or he is nri because if nri you cannot be in usa forever Please clarify

Majority of people coming back are either from areas close to Delhi, Chennai or Bangalore or Hyderabad with lot of family resources. Of you are from an Eastern state like Odisha or jharkhand or Assam from some district, you need to stay 1000 km away in a pollution choking city in a different state and face discrimination forced to learn Kannada, Tamil etc. if you stay back home, life is horrible mostly because of caste based reservation in job and education and no opportunity to grow. A person from Jharkhands rural area has nothing to lose staying in USA. Millions of people risking their lives to illegally move to USA because employment situation is horrible in small towns and villages educated youth.

Most of the NRI's who had a memorable childhood with wonderful friends, family and deep rooted cultural experiences will always be nostalgic about those experiences, hence would love to live those moments again. Such people would always love to come back for such experiences. But life is changing every moment and to experience those nostalgic moments, they need to be continuously a part of the change, especially in India. They cannot experience those moments during visits after long durations. NRI's with lesser emotions in terms of societal set up in India, are in a better position to adapt in their work countries and will never return.

Hindus shine and excel wherever they go
@stephenmani84952 ай бұрын
Really? Why is it then almost all the most developed countries in the world are either Christian (USA/Europe) are Buddhist (Japan/China), and this Hindu land of ours has a lowly rank no. 149 in the world in per Capita Income (lower than even many African countries)? Unless of course you are saying that the Hindus can only 'excel' (to quote your words) when they go to Christian lands, but are unable to shine in their own land and culture? Worse still, the very same 'Hindus' have been migrating in the millions to even the Muslim lands (eg. the Middle East, Gulf countries, even Malaysia, etc.). Isn't that ironical, considering the very same 'Hindus' attack the Muslims in their own country? Sorry, but from your statement, it does not look like 'logic' is a strength of your 'Hindu' way of thinking?

Recently, I lived for 5 months in a 4-room GF house, in South Delhi surrounded by big-2 trees and all but the water tasted like bitter salt. And icing on the cake was this foul air squared. Did not hear a human sound from someone in my neighbourhood. Peacocks,Koels, Birds and some lovely stray dogs gave me Co. Broad & European-clean roads had more than their share of German autos. Strangely, I would prefer Uber to my SUV. Colony streets kept empty all the time because the surrounding air was fumy hot as A/cs. were on most of the time. Cost me 1.4 lac per month. Now I am back in my little town with narrow street and open nalis. Now I thank God for all the great and clean air that I have enjoyed all my life.

Funny thing is those from Haryana and Punjab who cross US border illegally get greencard within 3-5 years. There are lawyers openly advertising on instagram, tiktok etc. And this thing has permeated among a lot of low educated Indians that all you need to do is just step on US soil and get a green card in 3-4 years. There are specialist lawyers who file asylum cases, (there are various categories based on individual circumstances, many political parties in India in opposition provide letters for 30-40K INR that the ruling party workers attacked this person) and they specifically file in certain districts in California and NY where judges are known to be pro-immigrant and get a positive result very soon. There are even lawyers who arrange for U visas (for victims of assault) with open advertising that they will arrange for an assault at a place where there are CCTVs so that there is concrete proof. And once a person has spent 3 years on U-visa in the US, they get a greencard. But those software engineers, educated Indians going on legal visas are waiting for decades to get a greencard.
