Yesterday I Talked to my elder brother, currently he is in Australia. Till date he was saying he will settle in Australia will take PR n finally Australian citizenship. I remember when I went Delhi airport to receive him, as soon as he came out his drama started like oh how much pollution, not safe drinking water, vehicle honking, bla bla bla. He compared every aspect between India n Australia. But yesterday he said he will come back to India with in 2-3 years.

Lonely is never an issue for an introvert. It’s actually really nice not being bothered by people unless you welcome them😅

I thought I was a loner till I lived in the USA. Loneliness in the USA is real. Upto certain extent being alone is ok but 100% being alone all the time gets you.

It's so refreshing to hear from an Indian raised person that career is just one part of life. With so much pressure from Indian parents to focus on studies/celebrate career achievements, this essential message is almost always lost. Kudos to the guest. Hope she lives a truly fulfilling life wherever she chooses to reside.

She’s such a pure soul. ❤ Didn’t ever compromise her true self for the way the world wanted her to work. Respect.

Great discussion and I have followed some of Nupur’s videos in the past as well. On another note, have a feeling that Ritu definitely wants to move back to India for years now, have seen her discuss this topic with so many and I can easily see that this is more of a session for her apart from helping others. Whatever makes the individual happy - that’s all that matters!

Please do not belittle people who enjoy their work and create a difference. Accept variability in choices and life decisions. Nothing is permanent and there is only a very short time left in life. Let each one have their choices snd joy.

What is never told clearly and expressedly, was not getting or waiting for the Green Card (Permanent Residency in US) the issue? Or did she return with an I-140 GC approval, so that she may return once it gets approved? Assuming no GC was in process, then the approx timelines 1-2 Years MS, 3 years OPT and about 6 years on H-1B after which where you have to leave the country. So that is approx 10 years. Rest everything is talked about, friends, family, lifestyle etc etc, but nothing on the most probable issue, that is immigration status which is the trigger point for most.

With all due respect, getting into google or Microsoft or apple or Amazon or any big company on your own in a different company is a big achievement. For someone to say that they have not achieved anything except get into a FANG company is shameful on your part Nupur. You might have done great things but absolutely does not give you the right to call out people who are fearful of moving back because of their job here and yes working for a great company with great stock benefits is something everyone should be proud of and use that to define their personality! Ritu, you should have at least edited that part out. So shameful genuinely.

Honestly just living one or 2 states won’t speak for entire USA. It’s same for India some like vibes of Bangalore and all the facilities there but it can’t represent entire country

Seems to be this is your own dilemma too but please trust me parenting is journey thats same everywhere emotionally....practically you are prevelaged there thats just impulsive feeling to come back to undia

Nope. Absolutely wrong. Parenting alone abroad especially in western countries is actually hard due to depressing weather. I have lived in the UK, Abu dhabi and now in India. For me the UK was soo soo challenging, I couldn't handle my child, home, health and climate is so harsh you can't even take kids out. Every time they are inside home. It's actually depressing for children also. And Abu dhabi I really enjoyed. Parenting was easier there in fact we wanted to stay there for a lifetime but unfortunately due to visa issues we came back to India and here I am enjoying my child is so Happy playing. Western countries are hard to live in. We are planning for either the Gulf or Singapore next coming years. Nice weather, very near to India, good education and healthy life style and energetic
