1. Winter Wear - India's wear will not work in that cold so that is needed to be bought there. 2. Pressure Cooker - For All Rice Dishes 3. Tava and Belam - For Roti 4. Sunglasses (Very Important In US) 4. Kadai - For Sabzi 5. Normal basic utensils like Fork, Spoon, Serving Plates etc 6. Tea Strainer (Chalni) 7. Basic Medicine - Paracetamol, etc 8. General Etiquettes - Toothpaste, Toothbrush 9. Samsung and Apple Phone - Other companies in India has not configured their systems to work in the US. 10. Spices - Haldi, Mirch, Jeera, Dhaniya etc basic spices 11. Basic Dals 12. Adapters and Converters: The US uses a different type of plug and voltage, so having the right adapters and converters is important. Note: All electronic items should be bought in US itself as there it's cheaper and most Indian items won't work in the US, for example: Powerbank, hair dryer, hair straightener, China made mobile phones. Note: Winter Clothing should and only bought from US cause Indian clothing won't work in those temperatures and sport shoes should also be bought in the US but normal sandles and casual footwear can be bought from India. Ethnic wear should also be bought from India as the price of ethnic wear in US is a lot expensive Note: Don't bring too much utensils and also don't bring the utensils which are not microwave safe etc.

Bring boroline! Also for tava they sell cast iron ( especially the brand Lodge) which is great for roti, dosa and any south Indian crepes. Also yahan balti mil jaayegi but mug mushkil se milta hai if you care. Kitchen items mein get masaldani from India.

Getting your eyes checked is usually covered with insurance. I bought my eyeglasses on a site called Eyebuydirect. Very affordable, good quality and they have good customer service. So returns are easy if ur not satisfied.

The greatest, best stores to shop in the US and to get great deals are thrift stores. If you are in a university or college town the US students wear thrift finds. Great place to find expensive names winter jackets, sweaters and seasonal clothes. There also sell pressure cookers, baking dishes, plates and glasses at a fraction of the cost. Really good stuff. Steel pots with covers Revere ware, a good name. In fact now there is surplus of barely used items in stores because people are redoing their kitchen, people dying and grandma's stuff no one wants. You need to do a thrift store video. In Macomb County and in Oakland County, in Michigan, I found Indian kurtas. But sweaters and coats are easily obtained for $5 a piece. Furniture also. .
