Is Thorogood for fucking real? He had the chance to not only sit down, but SHARE A STAGE with Albert Collins, and he doesn't even know what kind of guitar he plays? No matter how nervous/drunk/high I was I would never think of AC as the master of the....Stratocaster. Very cool of AC to not correct him/glare/look sideways too much at him even though he's clearly WTF'ing. I really enjoy Thorogood and anyone can make a mistake, but that's like introducing BB King as playing a Flying V. What a boob.

I was at that Electric Ball room concert. Albert was on fire, absolutely brilliant, one of the best gigs that I have ever seen. Without disrespect towards George, I think Albert should have been the Head liner. George was brilliant as well. That should have been filmed. A show to remember... 🎸🎸🎸

What a humble and genuine man. You can see that little twinkle of mischief in his eye every once in a while. You can just see he's all about the music, and though he says he can't read it (other than drum scores), you can tell he's a true student of the blues and its history, and it's luminaries. I love the line where he says he likes to play blues that don't make you fall over in your beer!

The Master of the Telecaster,and also one of Jimi Hendrix Favorites. Still i'm sad that he had to go too soon.I remember in the year he died,he wanted to do some show in the town where i lived.And i wanted to buy a ticket to see him live,cause man he was🎵🎸🎙 dynamite, groovy,funky,cool,bluesy,so powerful...and then i heard that he died cause he had a Heartproblem...I was down to the ground. Hey Albert thank you for your music,rest in peace brother🕯🎵🎸🙏

About a minute into the video George mentions that he's known Albert since 1979...so obviously this show isn't from 1976. Also, pretty big goof by George introducing Albert as the Master of the STRATOcaster (not Telecaster)!

This was from a show they did in 1982... I have no idea where they got 1976 from... but anyway, George got the TELECASTER intro right during the concert.

No my grandpa talked the same way. He was sober for over 20 years when he passed it might have been an early onset but I don't think he is drunk in the interview that's just years of abuse. Albert is definitely one of the best that ever did it and I wish I could have seen him play live.

Used a capo most of the time. Dont matter. Bending strings. Tougher or not. Discuss
@rams67022 жыл бұрын
His fingers? Tough as hell. The style? Definitely tougher, especially with strings in open f minor tuning. The bends will feel like bending in first position.
