Alberta unveils new pay model for family doctors - December 19, 2024

Premier Danielle Smith announces her government is implementing a new compensation model for Alberta’s primary care physicians. She is joined at the news conference in Calgary by Adriana LaGrange, the provincial minister of health, and Shelley Duggan, the president of the Alberta Medical Association.
The premier faces questions about the federal government’s latest clean electricity targets, as well as the response from Canada’s premiers to incoming U.S. President Donald Trump’s tariff threat.
