the 95 v2 frame is the longest frame that I have used for fpv bashing, and i fly it 90 percent in carpark. Its one hellava frame, fell off 6 floors and was ok but eventually the frame gave up, and now it resembles closely to a toothpick than a whoop as i have trim off the ducts which are all dangling. This new frame seems to address rigidity issues of v2/v1, and if im not mistaken, the plastic is pa12 which isnt abs but a nylon blend (i could be wrong though) which should be impact and abrasive resistant plastic. Lastly, id love to see a tuning video coz this weight addition definitely needs a good pid tune. and I hope to hear how the 5 blades sounds like coz ive been using avan rush for all my 2.5. nice review Albert.

+1 for a retune vid. Some hints for a light weight analog version without an HD recording camera would be awesome, if you have the bandwidth. I'm using it like a beefed up backyard basher and it is a fantastic lil drone for it. Light weight, sturdy, bounces off trees/walls/buildings/parked cars/Steve without doing any harm. So for mine, I have done: RPM filtering and adjust the filter profile. 48k on the ESCs + thrust_linear = 25 on the FC side. PID tune it like a whoop. Basically tighten everything up until it doesn't wash out and act all wonky.

I got my analog version last night. This thing is loud indoors. Flew a couple packs today, during my lunch break and after work. Didn't pay attention to post flight timer, but I think flight times were around 4-5 minutes with 520mAh batteries. Maybe it was wind induced, but it seems really shaky. A lot of jello in the video feed. Not sure how to tune it out, but interested to see what other peoples thoughts are. I noticed the V2 (in your video) has a screw on one of the silicone camera mount isolators. I smacked a fence and my camera undid itself and the isolators flew off. In tall grass, I was able to find everything, except one of the silicone isolators. Would've been nice to have some extras in the package. I'll have rig something up and try to hard mount it with a screw, so it doesn't come apart.

Dear Albert, I could do some flight test and definitely the quad needs some fine tuning. A lot of propwash and motors get significantly hot. Tested with 650mah and SMO camera: for my taste it needs more power with this payload, but for smooth cinematic flying could be fine. Just for sake of sharing, I confirm that yellow and blue wires are not connected (as reported by another user as well) while resources seems correctly configured. Cheers and stay safe!

I had to clothe tx1/rx1 pads back the pads no the pinio. Also as I’ve had to put my own tbs I couldn’t have the camera on an aux channel to start and stop the recording. I thought that tx3/rx3 was in the spare plug on the board but I couldn’t get it to work
@mrb29174 жыл бұрын
I had all these problems as well with my analog v3. I flashed the flight controller firmware back to completely stock in betaflight and it fixed everything. Just take a diff before you do it so you can reapply the motor mapping, vtx tables, and pid/filter sections back after you flash back to the base fc firmware. Also be sure after you flash it that you apply the defaults when prompted by betaflight. I now have access to UART1 and the plug works perfectly (UART3) for my crossfire nano. If I wanted to I could remap UART1 to PINIO for starting/stopping recording on the SMO 4k, the instructions are on the betaflight site in their support section for the SMO 4k. I'm just going to start and stop recording with my phone though over the app.

Hi Albert, nice review. I think that there is a lot to like here. I’ve been very interested in “cinewhoops” because a lot of our flying here in the Pacific Northwest is indoors in the winter and spring due our persistent periods of rain. I’ve flown the Taycan and the Squirt, but wasn’t very happy with either mostly due to noise levels, and sound quality. The sound level can actually be quite high, but if the sound quality is lower pitched, it’s a lot less likely to annoy people in my experience. The difference in sound quality between the original DJI Mavic Air, and the DJI Mavic Air 2 is a really dramatic example. So, yes. I would be very interested in a video describing the process used to tune a drone; that’s an area that’s severely lacking in my knowledge of using and enjoying this tech. If you decide to do the video, would you consider doing it with a 650 battery or even an 850 battery instead of the 450 you used in the video? I’m far more interested in using this drone for longer period flights; 3 to 3 1/2 minutes of flight is pretty limiting. Looking forward to hearing what your plans are. And, as always, thanks so much for this and your other content. Always excellent stuff coming from you. Much appreciated.

Would love a tuning video, I would definitely watch. Also, could you comment on the video created and the size. I flew mine yesterday on 4K 60FPS 16:9 for 3 minutes and get a 2GB file. When I render with Studio using Flowstate , it produces a 4GB file. Is that normal? I wanted to load to Amazon drive to share, but file size was too big.
@AlbertKimTV4 жыл бұрын
The file size will depend on what bitrate you export the video at. It's taking a 100mbps file and exporting it at 150mbps. That's why it's bigger.

I would happy to know how to tune my V2. I’ve only get around 2min flight time with it 😥

The tune for v3 will be different and may not work on v2

What do you think about motors used in this one - whould it benefit from larger motors? (120x-130x?) Most of pushers (that ive tried) seems to me underpowered but for 2.5inch 1106 may be the max.
@AlbertKimTV4 жыл бұрын
If you want more power on 2.5 inch, move up to the 1404 motor size.

You mentioned different motors for V4? Do you think we can put it on the v3? Hoping to make 2 of these my small setups.
@AlbertKimTV4 жыл бұрын
V4 doesn't exist yet. That was just my hope for V4. We will see what they do.
@Bannisterpost4 жыл бұрын
Yeah I'm not a huge fan of 1106 motors but at least if they went back to higher KV. I ha e some 4500 here I could swap

What Camera Mount would you use to attach a naked Go Pro to the 95X V3? Perhaps this quad is only designed for use with The SMO 4K?
@AlbertKimTV3 жыл бұрын
There is a link to the STL file for mounting a naked GoPro in the video description.

@@AlbertKimTV Thanks for sharing! Happy to pay you or anyone a reasonable price to print out a couple of the mounts, or could you refer me to someone who might be in this business?

El video del vuelo del costado lo hiciste con la misma SMO 4k ?

Thanks for the review. I've ordered that frame and the SMO cam. I'm putting on 1207 5000kv motors because I think the 1106 are to weak for smooth flying. So you recommend 650mah 4S? Because I also have a Sub250 3 inch freestyle quad which requires a 650mah 4S. Dont want to buy smalle sizes while I have these.
@AlbertKimTV4 жыл бұрын
Yeah 650mah 4S will work fine. Just a bit heavier but with bigger 1207 motors, you'll need the bigger battery for the bigger current draw.

Betafpv said its a Nylon material that is why it has less spokes for the frame

Nice review again thanks a lot! I was on the edge to buy this thing but I'll stick with my V2s because of reduced flight time. Talking about tuning, do you by any chance know the tune to prevent those from magneting to the walls and scream like hell when you touch some ?! I know there's a solution but haven't found it yet ;)
@AlbertKimTV4 жыл бұрын
Turn off airmode, turn on crash recovery, set crash recover rate to 50. That's just the beginning. More can be done. I should make a video on this.... who else is interested?

I chose the Protek35 over this, mainly because my current 4s lipos for my 5inch will work on the protek35. I really wanted this though.
