I watch James videos and get happy about getting a cdl. And the fun that come with it.😀 Then watched alblua videos and see the realization of driving 45 feet In a city is hell. And I would most certainly damage the coach on every single turn.😭
@albluaАй бұрын
Hahaha, I personally enjoy the challenge! Take turns slow to build up confidence

Excellent driving through the city. Parallel Parking a bus... thats impressive! and what were those people on skateboard doing impeding traffic?! 🤦

3:04 Taking on the responsibility of driving passengers on a trike then sitting in the middle of the intersection is some wild stuff. Here they don’t even stop for red lights or stop signs but it’s still wild.

Albert, if you do shuttles in downtown Chicago, I won't take a 45-foot coach, I would take a 35-foot coach for shuttles
@albluaАй бұрын
The number of people usually transported definitely requires a 45-foot coach! We also only have two 40-foot coaches and they're in Peoria

Can you listen to music in one ear with a bluetooth ear piece so you won't get bored or tired from driving?
@albluaАй бұрын
Yes, our company policy allows one ear to have Bluetooth

I think those three wheeler passenger haulers can be a pin in the driver's seat None of them look they just peddle. I thought PCC bought Signature, but several busses still had Signature on them. Great video. I enjoyed it, but you better get some rest. You have 8000 students to get back to Urbana om Sunday
@albluaАй бұрын
Yeah, they can be kind of troublesome. No, PCC and STG are partners in the Chicago area. We still operate our own respective fleets. I've actually been out of the country for the past month, so I won't be part of the big fall break move this year!
@football11248Ай бұрын
Will James buy any Volvo brand buses like Signature bus group have?
@albluaАй бұрын
No, we're going to try to stick to one make and model in the future

just want to know, out of every Motorcoach brands in PCC, which brand give you the most pleasure driving? have you ever drive a cutaways?

Both the MCI and Prevost are my favorites to drive. We don't have any cutaways, so I've never driven one
@rifkyfahrana1141Ай бұрын

First to comment. Btw excellent driving skills, and do you ever get nervous when driving a 45 Ft beast in the middle of a large city?
@albluaАй бұрын
I don't get nervous anymore, but the first time I drove a bus downtown was a little nerve wracking with bridge height clearances and tight turns
@CedrickAvitation-li1mwАй бұрын
is that bus automatic or manual?
@albluaАй бұрын
It's an automatic! Practically every bus in the US is an automatic with some sort of Allison transmission; I don't think any of the manufacturers even offer manual transmissions in the US market
@CedrickAvitation-li1mwАй бұрын
@@alblua thanks
@rifkyfahrana1141Ай бұрын
it seems Allison is the only option in the US motorcoach market. except for buses that built on truck chassis. they probably offer a manual box considering many trucks in US still offer manual like Eaton Fuller
@albluaАй бұрын
Most "plastic" trucks today are usually automatics too, but they have more transmission options. The Cascadias, for example, only come in automatics or automated manuals now.
