As someone who met a lot of Filipino people online throughout the years I know you won't be embarrassed or anything for it. The one's i've met online are still as proud and happy as you are even if they still live there or moved to Canada, Japan, Europe or America and so on. Happy for you that you'll keep the Miata and let it resurrect. I think they're great cars as well especially for Japan being smaller cars. It'll be a great car for him as well.

I have an NA sat here in the UK that needs a lot of love, I had some rust fixed and got coil overs for it but it needs bushes and some other mechanical bits sorting, a full respray and a full service. I'd also like to turbo or supercharge it. I cant afford to do any of it right now. I'm hoping to soon have garage space to store it and slowly revive it. They are fun little cars.

I’m Half-Flip myself, and like you, I’m relatively detached from my Flip roots; also not by choice, just how it sort of fell into place as I growing up.
