I bought the Crosby Stills & Nash debut album and loved it. Except for a couple of songs, Deja Vu didn’t really do it for me, so I never picked that one up. But I loved So Far because it had “Woodstock” and “Teach Your Children.” And, until the CSN box set was released in the early ‘90’s, it was the only album which contained both sides of the “Ohio” single. So, while it WAS a bit weird for a group with only two albums to release a greatest hits collection, I agree, Giggens….it’s a fantastic record! Nice review!

Great review! I mostly bought a copy for the inclusion of Ohio and the Joni artwork haha. They could’ve easily done something along the lines of the 4-way street release and included solo hits as well to make it a double album and more worth picking up (but I don’t remember if there was label conflict there or not)

That wouldve been cool!

A similar album to this one is "Replay" from around 1980; it combines CSN and CSNY songs with songs from Crosby and Nash, and Stills solo. There's also a remix of "Carry On" that's quite different from the original.

Having not released any other studio albums after 'Déjà Vu' through to the 1974 tour I guess releasing 'So Far' makes sense, especially considering, in retrospect, 'Crosby, Stills and Nash' and 'Déjà Vu' are by far the albums that are most talked about even 49 (bye-byes) years later. Absolutely, it would be better with "Marrakesh Express" and, for me, if there had been some way to fit in "Pre-Road Downs," probably the best rocking Nash track.

Always liked the artwork for this, but never really felt an urge to pick it up.
