Boy, do I remember this period of time...late '60's. I had suddenly gone from being a casual listener of the Beach Boys music to a HUGE fan, at the precise time interest in the group was drying up in the U.S. Talk about feeling alone. No Internet then, of course. I had no idea that there was an entire, vibrant world of love for their music at the time. I was just in the wrong place. Amazing to hear that they would perform "The Warmth Of The Sun" flowing into "Don't Worry Baby", along with an eclectic selection of other songs. Wasn't aware of this album. Will have to get it! Thank you for telling us!

"Breakaway" was co-written by Brian and Murry Wilson, using the psuedonym, Reggie Dunbar.

Good ol' Reggie Dunbar---no relation to Aynsley Dunbar

Thanks. Just listened to this on u tube. Great show! I always loved the 1969 Live in London album. I got to see them at a free live concert in NYC - Central Park in 1977. It was a blast and everyone even cleaned up!

69-72 were filled with some damn good albums from them that were overlooked. Damn shame.

I think the Live in London 69 LP is WAYYYY better than the 64 in concert album which hit USA#1 😮

Great program! I have seen the video of the Olympia concert. I was 16 the first time I saw the Beach Boys at the Lagoon amusement park near Salt Lake City(yea...THAT Lagoon). It was in Sept 1969 about a month after the Olympia concert. The set list was just about the same the the Olympia concert, with the exception of the opening song (Salt Lake City). I remember the slow song medley, wishing they were playing the entire songs. They played I Can Hear Music, Breakaway, Cotton Fields(the 20/20 version) and finally ended up with Johnny B Goode. I remember it being just great! The opening act was Paul Revere and the Raiders. They were also the opening act on the Olympia Concert. They must have finished their European tour and did some more cities with the Beach Boys in the US. I specifically remember Mike getting the verses mixed up on Sloop JB. Funny the things we remember 55 years ago. Thanks as always for the great info. Lamont

@@Giggens They played in the very same venue at the Lagoon Amusement part from 1963 until 1969 a total of 13 times. Probably more than any other single venue. Lamont

I remember when I saw the Beach Boys in December of 1976. Great concert. Came out of the show and it’s pouring rain. Flat tire on my car. Did they ever do a car song with a flat tire in it lol. Thanks for the video.

This one was available for digital streaming for a short time but the sound quality was too atrocious to make it worth the download. Lots of cool stuff in this show though; the ballad medley especially always stood out to me. I wish they'd done more with that. Great that you have it on vinyl! I'll need to look for one now.

Maybe this was the concert that influenced the French Beach Boys---Les Garçons de la Plage---as seen in the Rutles film!😋
