@@RustyDarlington For me it’s actually Bloodthirst. It’s just so powerful and fun. The latest album could be up there aswell. It’s so hard to rank these, the only one I don’t really listen to is Butchered At Birth cause, as you said, the production is just so baaaad. Songs are fine, but it’s a tuff listen.

Hahaha yeah I probably listen to butchered mostly when I’m doing other stuff so I’m not purely focusing on how it sounds 😂

Cannibal Corpse is so consistent and never experiments much, so it is hard to rank the discography. Here is my ranking, which changes slightly all the time. Enjoyable video mate, even though I disagree with you on a lot here. 1. Kill 2. Tomb of the Mutilated 3. The Bleeding 4. Torture 5. Bloodthirst 6. The Wretched Spawn 7. Evisceration Plague 8. A Skeletal Domain 9. Violence Unimagined 10. Gallery of Suicide 11. Butchered at Birth 12. Gore Obsessed 13. Red Before Black 14. Vile 15. Eaten Back To Life

@@RustyDarlington Oh yes. It's fantastic, as always. They don't quite have the intense speed they used to have, but still really enjoyable.

@@davidburns6284 yeah I was thinking that too! It’s not an all out blast beat orgasm but damn it’s good! I’m sure the rest of the album will be monster 🤘🏻

Really? Vile at 15? Orgasm Through Torture alone makes it a top album.

Their best era for me was the 90-98 era. They started to decline on Bloodthirst cuz the production was just wayyyyy too polished and while it had a few good songs it wasn’t as good as what had come before. After that was Bore Obsessed in 02’ which did nothing for me and then The Wretched Yawn in 04’ was equally boring. I checked out after that. I did buy Skeletal Domain and Torture when those came out in an effort to give them another chance but those were boring albums. The production was wayyyy too polished and the riffs just weren’t there as opposed to albums like Tomb of the Mutilated or The Bleeding or Butchered at Birth. The songwriting went to shit when Pat O Brien joined. They tried to become too technical and the music suffered. Vile and Gallery of Suicide were good because they had a muddy production. I like death metal that sounds raw and low budget. That’s when CC was at their best. Bob Rusay was a great guitarist as was Rob Barrett when he worked with Jack Owen. Rob working with Pat the chemistry just isn’t there. The most recent album was far from perfect but is definitely the best thing they have done in years. Erik Rutan is a welcome addition to that band.

I totally get that my man. I guess I’m just one of those people that like good sounding production haha. But that’s not to say I don’t listen to bad sounding stuff. I love black metal and death crush and Transylvanian hunger and all that. I just had a lot of fun with my higher ranked ones because the songs to me were enjoyable haha I take it you’re not a fan of Death then? 😂 stay metal man!

@@RustyDarlington No Death rules! It’s different with them though cuz Chuck has admitted that albums like Symbolic and Sound of Perseverance aren’t really death metal. The first three albums are awesome as is Human and all the others. Individual thought patterns is probably my favorite cuz production wise it’s comparable to an album like the Bleeding. I don’t think of the last two albums as being like death metal. More like old school power metal with death metal vocals.

Oh yeah I feel that too! Albums like leprosy and spiritual healing are some of my favourite albums ever. Death were an incredible band deserve a much better title than straight death metal. I agree with perseverance being compared to aggressive power metal
