Today we explore Albuquerque, New Mexico. Being a Breaking Bad fan I started my day by visiting some of the show's locations, including Twister's also known as Los Pollos Hermanos, Walter Whites house, the Car Wash, and Hank's home. Then I went to Old Town, had lunch at the oldest house Church Street Cafe. Then I visited the National Museum of Nuclear Science and History, and finally took a ride on the Sandia Peak Tramway.
We tow a 2015 Winnebago Micro Minnie 1706FB travel trailer. You are more than welcome to tag along in our travels by subscribing to this channel.

Thanks for another amazing video Robert! ABQ holds a very special place in my heart; it was the first place I ever visited in the USA from the UK and although it's kind of out of the way for most visitors to the US I absolutely adore it and have been back many times in the past to visit friends there. And of course, when Breaking Bad became the incredible show that it did I went and did all of the filming locations too! Although unfortunately it was before I made videos on KZbin… So I'll have to go and revisit them for a video for my channel some day!! :-) though I do actually have videos from things like the Sandia Peak Tramway on my channel from way back in 2004…!

9:33 - Church Street Cafe? Congrats on finding a TOURIST trap on the square! If you had done your homework, you would have found TWO restaurants within 3 minutes that were BOTH (a) Much better and (b) Much cheaper for local NM food. Duran Central Pharmacy and Garcia's Mexican Kitchen have been icons of Central ABQ for decades. And BTW you also should have known that a "Breaking Bad" filming location (4 minutes away) was also a MUCH better choice for lunch. "The Dog House" serves the best footlong chili/cheese dogs around and the complete meal costs less than $10. And c'mom man, stop with the $5 IPA beers. #BORING

8:32 - "Civic Center - Great place for the homeless to charge their phones?" There is SO much WRONG with that statement. What does a $50 million TAXPAYER funded city building have to do with "helping" homeless BUMS charge their IPHONES? Said hobos should not be using MY tax money to be able to charge their $1000 phones anywhere.....EVER. Lazy assed slugs should have JOB so they can afford their own "charging" station to power their stinkin phones. Here's a thought, instead of looking at the phone to check the balance of your govt. food stamp account, why not use your phone to GET A JOB?

The people that live in the Walter White house are not new owners, they've been there for 40 years and sit in their garage almost every freakin' day watching people come and go...Not much of an existence, if you ask me, I know this because I live 3 blocks away and pass it almost daily...If it was my house, i would have cashed in when it was at the peak of its popularity and just moved on...

Glad you enjoyed my hometown. My mother lives fairly close to the car wash. I was back home from Tokyo for Christmas and did midnight mass at Old Town. The issue with Nob Hill is the new Area Rapid Transit (ART) Bus station installation along Central. Let's just say most Burquenos aren't fans, and neither am I. It's kind of the worst of both worlds. None of the advantages of light rail, all of the disadvantages of busses and street cars. Those are the weird art deco sort of median installations you filmed. My opinion is that we should have just built light rail. I love the Sandias and I've done the Tram ride several times over the years. The Church Street Cafe was a good choice.

Hi Robert, I live in Montana and if I were you I would plan to stay here for at least 4 days because there is so much to see and I would spend most if not all of your time in the western part of the state. Aside from the more well known places ie Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks, there is a MUST see drive over The Beartooth Highway. It starts from the NE entrance (or EXIT, depending on which direction you are coming from) of YS Park in Cook City, MT and ends in Red Lodge, MT. It is the closest thing I have come to feeling like you are literally on the top of the world! There are many, many high mountain lakes right along the Highway and the Mountains are unbelievable! Red Lodge is a neat little town and Cook City is also nice but very small-not much there. The drive up Hwy 93 starting in the Bitterroot Valley) is one of my favorites (I live off it ). There is Flathead Lake, (the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi), north of Missoula. Hwy 93 goes from the Idaho border to the Canadian border. I am a travel Nurse and drive all over Montana. Contact me if you need anymore info when you prepare to go. Safe travels!

I'm not a television watcher, had to look up breaking bad LOL , wondering if you ever considered a reconditioned school bus and configure it as you need as an cross country RV ? Love the video! 👍
@TravelingRobert
@TravelingRobert 6 жыл бұрын
Thank you. I'm not going to do the bus or skoolie as they are also referred to. They are hard to park in the city and many RV park will not let you stay in one, so I'll tick to regular RVs. In the future I think I'll go for a short motorhome, under 25 feet.

Cool video! Glad you went to the Nuke Museum. Interesting place. I went there in SEP 2014. The outside park has made some progress! They were cleaning up/restoring the sub's sail (645) back then and many missiles were looking like they were on the 'To Do' list. No gantry for Gadget either. Glad I got to see the update!
