2:04:50 That point was incredible! This is the first time I am watching or hearing about this player Alcaraz and look at that footwork! The whole point from that serve to the forehand how he maneuvers around the clay is amazing! Even after two plus hours of playing against some of the strongest serves and hits I've ever seen coming from Zverev and they're both still keeping pace is just amazing to watch! I love Roland-Garros and I am always in awe at the level of play from these athletes these days on these courts. I am still in awe decades later ☺ I'll always love tennis. Thanks for the full match upload!

If the commentator is saying that Alcaraz beats Agassi's record (such as at 26:00 in the video), that's a misunderstanding. Commentator said Agassi had the 3-surfaces grand-slam record at age 22, whereas Alcaraz is 21. Agassi (and several others) did make the finals on all three surfaces by age 22, but Alcaraz WON the finals on all three. Graf beat Alcaraz's record by two years by winning her third surface final at age 19. And probably a few made the doubles finals on all three by age 21. Agassi never had any record at all here. He's just one of many to have won on all three (Connors, Wilander, Graf, Federer, Williams, etc.).

I don't know I think Alcaraz is an all rounded Tennis player, he has the agility for covering full court, a lot of deceptions for the ball placement, hard and pressuring service, he utterly has all the weapons of a Tennis athlete should possess... how he is able to make the defense position into an attacking mode, that is insane

Alcaraz nowhere at his best level in this year's FO, BUT he was a mental giant bar none. Against sinner, set and break down suffering from cramps. He steeled himself and raised his game when it mattered. Same vs Zverev but Zverev didn't help his own cause either

I feel like if zverev was the same height as Deigo Schwartzman he'd lose most matches against him tbh.
@bleachbravesoulslover957 ай бұрын
I mean height gives major advantages in tennis, especially the serve, and thats one of zverev's greatest strengths.
@soysaucehairdye78697 ай бұрын
@@bleachbravesoulslover95 Being as tall as Zverev is kind of a disadvantage other than having a really good serve. The ideal height for a male tennis player is around 187.96 cm with longer than average arms for that height. Sasha just happens to be extremely gifted in being agile for his height though his height also makes him more injury prone and he's also Type 1 diabetic. I get that he's a polarizing player, but to me he's the Kevin Durant of the ATP tour.
@ggsjamalnoon12677 ай бұрын
I dint think so. Zverev is probably the best baseliner in the game and with less height he would move around the court quicker
@jackpabich7636 ай бұрын
Glad to eb able to watch the full match! How awesome! I noticed Alcaraz chose to return when he won the coin toss. Does anyone know why he wouldn't choose to serve? I know clay is the slowest of the main surfaces but idk much outside of that
@rionamcallister67036 ай бұрын
I can't say for sure but I think he is more confident in other areas of his game. His serve can be a little hit or miss, especially at the beginning or when he's having a rough patch, so I think he chose to receive to help him get into the game quicker. He also chose to receive in the Wimbledon final this year so I think it's just what he's most comfortable with.

For me as an Alcaraz Fan, it was a emotional final for me. I had cramps in my thighs in the final set for walk back and forth in Front of the TV and I needed many times a physio if i had one. Zverev was lucky to be in the final, he could lost vs. Griekspoor in Round 3 or Rune in the next round. Luckrev should be happy If he wins one Slam, but his time is going slowly down. Carlos was the real winner, I'm so happy he won RG and gets the youngest Player to win all three slams on three different surfaces. Thanks RG to upload this final, 4 weeks after the final.
