Hello Laetitia. I absolutely adore her and the castle , I think shes my favourite piece youve ever made and I like the scale. I especially love the idea that she houses a garden. Really, really beautiful ! ( would make a gorgeous workshop too, something with a garden) I will do my best to get to France for this exhibition, I would love to see it. Thanks for the inspiration and joy, I can tell you are loving making her. Good wishes for your week xxx

Magic as always. The exhibition in the castles sounds wonderful. You are very talented and I love watching your art because you are so passionate about every aspect of the process of creating. I will leave next week for Germany and hope to see a few castles. There is a water castle with a beautiful cafe to sit outside close to my mom's house, and I Iove meeting my sisters and friends there. In case you ever get there, it is in Glatt by Sulz. I will be sadly already leaving, when your exhibition starts. By the way the onyx bowl arrived undamaged from Gien France last week. Soo beautiful. 🍃I am sure your castle will be amazing when it's all done. Thank you for sharing. 🍃

She is looking so beautiful and II always enjoy seeing your illustrations.💖 The book also looks amazing! That castle is full of wonder and beautiful textures. Such an interesting challenge all together. You are doing an amazing job of it❣️👍

How magical - thank you for showing us given how busy you are!!! (I'm secretly stressed out for you- eeeck its already the 2nd of May) I love so much all the movement Alcina conveys in her pose and dress. If I had her, I can imagine her on a very slow turntable so she would be forever dancing and spinning her magic.
@Merveillesenpapier2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for stressing out for me :))) for now I'm fine I will start to stress out next week.... :) In the second place later this winter when the exhibiton will be in dispaly in a museum they will add specific lights under her dress in the gardens which I think will give a very nice magical touch. but a slow turntable could be a good idea too.

So stunning Laetitia! What an exciting project. It is so nice to see how your sculptures evolve and develop. I know exactly what you mean in how they change in the process of ones creativity and it is hard to stick to a fixed concept or image for an exhibition or commission work. That ballet book is FABULOUS, I am lusting after it! I have another great one by Cyril Beaumont who was the great historian of ballet and costume/set design called Ballet Design Past and Present, filled with illustrations. It is so inspiring. It inspired my paper ballet dancers for Le Pavillion de Armide and I replicated Armida and Her Favourite Slave and 2 ballet dancers according to Benois designs for it. I will send photos to show you. I hope your exhibition will still be up August when I come to visit as it would be simply wonderful seeing it, possibly even with you!! Good luck I am sure you will finish it all in time, it is going to be stunning as all your pieces are! 💚💛🧡

Thank you Amanda, yes it is a very useful book, yes send me your photos I forgot you were inspired by this theme ! The exhibition will run till october 2022, but the castles can be only reached by car, there is no public transport to go there as it is the case for most castles here. Thank you for your encouragements !

Just like you, I love baroque style and I look forward to see this exhibition. May be I'll be able to see it at the begining of June. I've visited the site of the two castles you are mentioning, and none of them speak about the exposition yet... The poster you show is not appearing anywhere yet on their site... You are a better publicist than they are... I'm sure your creation will be wonderfull and inspiring, like always...
@Merveillesenpapier2 жыл бұрын
They will update their website and mention the exhibition on may 28 when the exhibition starts. They never do it earlier, don't ask me I don't know why....They probably don't think that visitors can prepare their trip in advance .or even come from abroad ...;) If you go, you will have to let me know Catherine !

Hi Laetitia ..Everything is looking beautiful as usual.....If you are not quite happy with the reflection experiments you could try some uv resin. I made a chess set for my son last christmas loosely based on your beautiful nutcracker which I had made the christmas previous (following your tutorial of course). The pieces were much smaller (and no way near up to your standard) but I finished them with uv resin for some durability. The resin has given them a beautiful sheen and did not damage the paper or paint. Just thought I would mention it in case you were not entirely happy once the varnish had dried.
