It’s funny. I had written to you a while back with the problem of the ink not completely getting the image well stamped. I didn’t know about filling in the areas with more ink. However, with the advent of Versafine Clair ink I no longer have that problem! Everything stamps beautifully. I love these alcohol ink backgrounds! ❤️

You can use some alcohol inks for stamps. It seems those that seem to be "heavier" or denser work better for Stamping. Also, I've had success with masking, like areas for the sun, by using rubber cement, then removing it completely after the mask is no longer needed. Have you worked with media such as texturing pastes, crackles, etc. on Yupo? I love your cards! I'm not familiar with the different stamps & stencils on the market, but you can make your own with Speedball or by cutting erasers. The stamps are very pretty though! Very nice cards & great video! It is fun to see how others use artist materials! Alcohol inks on Yupo & similar materials is incredibly fun, and makes beautiful images! Thanks for sharing!

What beautiful cards. Thank you for such a well presented demo. One question...why do you sand your stamps? Is it because you are using Archival ink or do you do it with all inks. .?

I have a different brand of alcohol inks..but I noticed the ones that u use, The Ranger when you make all of the small drops with> I cant do that with my ink...why can you..is it due to your inks having a smaller hole. Cant figure that one out. Mine even the small amount that I have, spreads out way to much. Help anybody know why would love to have a reply. I even put the ink into one of those fine tipped bottles thank you

Hi there, beautiful results. I love alcohol inks. What type of paper did you say that was? I've used glossy photo paper but it doesn't hold up too well. I think I need to really find glossy card stock. Great job!
@KaytiebugofKC5 жыл бұрын
It's Yupo paper, made from a thin polymer (plastic). Glossy photo paper or cardstock will not work, it has to be synthetic if you want the techniques to work! Otherwise the ink will just soak into the paper and/or react with the gloss layer

Love this alcohol ink cards. Why do you sand the stamps before you ink them?
@LaviniaStampsVideos3 жыл бұрын
Hi Karyn, Tracey would only sand the stamp is if it's slightly sticky from using any alcohol based inks. This is why we discourage using alcohol based inks when stamping with polymer stamps. Noni, Lavinia Stamps 🧚♀️

Is there a reason you leave the bottom left hand corner under worked compared to the rest of the card? I was wondering because you did it every time. I think this is my favorite alcohol in tutorial. It is so inspiring that I have to try it out. I don't have hare stamps but I love them so my solution is to cut a small template and draw it on with Pitt pen and then fill it in with the brush the way you did with the stamps. Can't wait to try this out. Thank you.

It's not from the stamp not inking up. It's not holding color where the alcohol ink has been and/or the type paper it's on. I can't seem to get a good bold image. It's faded out in spots.
@LaviniaStampsVideos Жыл бұрын
Hi Bobbie, thank you for your comment. Sorry to hear you are struggling to get a solid image. We would recommend starting with a non-silhouette image as this is easier to stamp on Alcohol Inks. Using a silhouette stamp will mean you aren't going to get a solid image and it wold require filling in with ink and a brush. I hope this makes sense. Noni, Lavinia Stamps

Why do you sand down the stamps?
@christineruscoe34874 жыл бұрын
I love most of what you do but I think you spoil it with the verses stamped over them. It spoiled the last one as you covered the beautiful fairy image with it so you couldn't see the dandelion for hearts. I think a few vine leaves coming down from the top would have been prettier keeping the lovely fairy image clear. I'm not a fan of the verses just to fill the space. But I love the rest of it.
