It is funny how you put your faces of disgust or rejection but still you must do this type of videos to have visitors, at the end of the reaction it is better noticed how you realize where you are and you have to follow the role that you put on, your comment At the end of the video it is absurdly false, it shows in your face that you are a false person. Better than you are, like the girl from "the charismatic voice", you are a sad envious.

The version of the Nidarosdomen Concert is quite the opposite of this one. There she sings this song more powerful and louder. She always takes care of the instruments. The lesser the quieter. Great reaction. :-)

I've always said watching her, it's like synesthesia where one sense is used to describe another. She either sees and feels what she is singing, or sees the story as she is singing. She sings as if she is describing the story as she sees it in her mind.

Aurora uses her voice as an instrument, often matching harsh sounds with the harshness of a lyric. And her subject matter is often dark and foreboding while the same song can contain soaring angelic passages as this one did. I would urge you to explore her artistry, which you so rightly emphasized. The Seed, The River, Queendom are anthems that show her power and range. The Murder Song, Through the Eyes of a Child, All is Soft Inside are dark, delicate and reflective in that order. Apple Tree is a study in rhythm and dance.

@ Alexsandra, I realise my comment is rather late but I just wanted to say that I too love/d & noticed the beautiful backing-vocals from Aurora's guitarist & support singer 'Silja Sol'. Many people, including 'Vocal Coaches, pick up on Silja's talent fairly quickly! I gave her a quick search "online" & this is a summary of her Bio: * Born: Silja Sol Dyngeland, a pop musician from Bergen, Norway. She's released five solo albums to date and also toured extensively with AURORA. * Aurora and Silja met professionally through their entrepreneurs in Made Management in 2014. Silja replaced another pianist at the last moment in Aurora's live show at the Nabovarsel Minifestival, despite not really knowing how to play the piano at the time. Silja provided backing vocals, bass synthesizer, and vocal/technical effects in Aurora's band. * On May 29, 2021, Silja posted a photo of herself and Aurora, stating "An era is over, and it's time for other things. Thank you for the adventure", announcing that she would no longer perform in Aurora's band. Siljas latest album "Bak Skyene" was released on October 21, 2022.

The "true" opera quality? Why would she want that - she isn't singing opera. And a dropped larynx does not make a pleasant sound. Operatic vowels are very distorted - call it modified if you like. Aurora gets it dead right, particularly as she is not singing in her native language.

Startroopian I don’t think they are picking it apart to be negatively critical - it’s their job to look at it with an eye for constructive criticism - otherwise anyone could say - yeah that’s great so why bother getting a vocal coach to look at it? I believe her singing to be very intentional. ie. The "breathy" part (in my opinion) was meant to show fragility. This song has a dark story to it. Also, if you notice, there's a significant crescendo on the lyric "Don't you speak over my voice" voice being the most emphasized; like she's in an argument with someone.

Why being on tip toes or the balance affect your voice?
@andyhiscox2750
@andyhiscox2750 4 жыл бұрын
Santiago Papa because you cannot use your core muscles to control your breathing (as you must do when singing) if you are trying to use it to control your balance on tiptoe. You need your core to balance much more than you would if you were standing normally. Your body is a system and altering one thing affects another.

She is a great singer with such an amazing personality. I see that your reaction is too serious about vocal techniques and i find it cool to see a serious vocal coach having a good laugh and/or smile on her face while reacting to a video. I would be happy to see you reacting to her with this song cover Burn by Ellie Goulding. The title of the video is “KATRINA VELARDE - IMPERSONATING SINGER 3 (BURN)”. I’ll be looking forward to your reaction. Thank you in advance and God Bless!!! ☺️👍
