Up to now, this is still the best short program ever skated. what "elegance and finesse" in the moves yet strong and powerful in the jumps! Really, Yagudin is the best skater I have ever watched!

Смотрю с завидной регулярностью Зиму Алексея - в разные периоды своей жизни ,и сердце замирает и слезы сами собой! Спасибо от всей души за это выступление и за то ,что у нас есть такие неординарные спортсмены и уникальные душевные люди как Алексей Ягудин и Тамара Анатольевна Тарасова.Алексей выступал на открытии катка в Спб -светлый сердечный человек!Как он катался зимой 2022 год перед нами -простыми зрителями-от всей души !Мы и никаких билетов не покупали ,пришли на каток ,и он пришел -без веских амбиций !

He was skating early so they couldn’t give that, also I’m sure the judges were inherently against anything higher than 5.8 for the technical score in the short. Just like how in the modern system almost no judge will give 10s for SS and espesicallt transitions

This man's footwork was so much fun to watch... other than Paul Wylie, best footwork I can remember from a male skater... and a lot of men could perform quads, but Aleksei brought style to the ice too.

yagudin is better than plushenko because he has all the aspects of a great athlete, unbelievable talent and grace, a strong personality, and a confidence that inspires, plushenko on the other hand is a prick in all aspects, he goads, and moans when he loses and bitches at anyone near him when he wins, he can land all the quads he wants, doesnt take away from the prick aspects, there r many more talented skaters out there, yagudin forever!
