I have been using Lambdin's textbook since the end of summer. Passed almost 24 (55) lessons. A little more to the finish line. Beth is improving my speaking skills. Today I myself read the initial five quotations of the First Book of Kings. When I read in Hebrew, the feeling is that the soul is washed by heavenly dew. In the exercise about Samuel I saw a hidden meaning, that this priest could see the meaning of upcoming events, the meaning of things. Of course, everyone understands that he is a prophet. But how much more important is to feel it yourself.

I see Beth's work as an opportunity to visit the ancient Jews to learn the language from them. The acquired skills from such communication will not be given by any textbook.👏

1:48 why "banah" for David and "b'noh" for Solomon? Is it because "b'noh" is used when the direct object isn't explicitly repeated?

banah is the verb "he built," while b'no is from the noun ben, so it means "his son." 😉
