Soke Inoue Yoshimi, Rika Usami's legendary master, teaches kata Chatanyara Kushanku and demonstrates some parts of the bunkai (application). Here are the shortcuts to some of the highlights of this class:
► 6:06 pivot on the heel when standing in Neko Ashi Dachi;
► 20:48 Kosa Uke with bunkai;
► 23:11 Nagashi Uke with bunkai;
► 24:20 pivot on the heel from Shiko Dachi to Moto Dachi.
Watch the other videos of Soke Inoue's seminar in this playlist and share the Karate knowledge!
• Soke Inoue Yoshimi - S...
I recorded this video during Soke Inoue's seminar held in Caorle (Venice, Italy) on 18-20 October 2013. The seminar was organized by Sensei Francesco Favaron, founder of Inoue-Ha Shito-Ryu Italy:

When you get to his age and move like he moves! Then you are a master. Master of the body. Master of health master of control! That is life real life! For me. Thank you for posting!

I agree with you. Which, good diet, physical activity, good social life with positive folks leads to long life it seems, as well as not dealing with a lot of stress, or simply have secret service watch after you. Look at George Bush. Better Jimmy Carter who still does volunteer work as I understand it. 😉

Many thanks to Mr. Alessandro Timmi and the Italian Karatekas to have recorded and shared us the gem of performance. Just to remember, Soke Joshimi´s legacy: Excellent control of body, balance and vertical movements using gravitation instead of bouncing off the grouind. All that with friendly even funny body creations on account of him. May God give him peace and joy up in the heaven. Paul, 68, retired instructor. of Karate.

Did he die? Hard to believe this guy got sick.....the whole body moves lightening fast while his mustache remains in the same place...Regardless of age. Frankly remarkable.

Soke Yoshimi Inoue passed away in May 1st 2015 due to a pancreas cancer. He unbelievably taught in Inoue-ha Shito-Ryu Keishin-kai Honbu Dojo in Tottori, Japan until April 31st. One of the greatest losses to the world of Karate-Do. Behind almost every world Kata champion from Japan (about 20!!) the engine was YOSHIMI INOUE. I am eternally grateful for having had the joy of learning from him and being part of the Keishin-kai family and now having the pleasure of sharing his teachings to other people. 井上先生、どうもありがとう! He is surely up there smiling and laughing with the greats... Hidetaka Nishiyama, Masatoshi Nakayama, Kenwa Mabuni, Hironori Ohtsuka and his sensei, Teruo Hayashi. As he always said: "Life is only once, enjoy it!"

Everything i watch so much important you cant buy with gold; its accumulate perfectly with lifetime experience, i know because i can learn some of these or you can say sand pieces of these (when karate do itself beautifull beach) myself after 20 years it takes that much for me maybe im too slow maybe it can be shorter for someone else i dont know but you can have correct start even when in different style like me... Yoshimi sensei demostration so good and hes having fun with bright smile, i wish i can learn from him when i was first started in univercity Now i can understand with ease what he want to say or what he means but my spirit goes down so much with wrong teachings, ideas, politics... hah idk maybe in another life .Thank you so much for posting you must be getting positive karma from all Karate do practitioners who watch these
