it would be cool if you could change the portal color or when going into a specific biome the portal color responds to that biome like Plains - Yellow, M - White, BF - Black or Purple, Med - Green, Swamp - Green, Mist - Grey

Great ideas. Especially with the new sealed tower. Instead of climbing up the huge walls.. just portal at the base at near the top. Just put the lower portal on a raised ledge and dig out under the lower portal so enemies don't destroy it. 😊😊

Tip 9b: Plant your tree farm at Spawn. It's the only place you'll ever need to Elder power.

i think the best tip for portals is: just use mods for teleporting ores, the regular portals make the game way to grindy, forcing you to build whole new bases and making the upgrades for each workbench

you actually can just change your world settings to allow ores through portals. also, i don't blame anyone for taking the easy route considering how far away some biomes end up being, but i feel like this is more of a QoL mod suggestion than a tip for the game.

I use 2 portals at base. One I match the name to a portal in the world where I wanna go and a second portal called panic. Panic is just guaranteed remember name so if need be I can make a portal, go back, change the name to whatever and go back through panic to change the new portal to whatever name. Two portals at base, unlimited portals in the world.

That all makes awesome ideas but the boat thing. There are some items like Iron and copper that can't be teleported so you have to boat back to base.

You can change your world's settings to allow metals to go through portals if you want, that's what a lot of people do
