Our day here didn’t end as the cruise ship Balmoral departed port. In the late afternoon, we cruised the length of the stunning Hjørundfjord with breathtaking views of the Sunnmore Alps.

Its a truly astonishing place to visit. The stunning views from the mountain, And buildings that felt more Alpine (Swiss/Austrian etc) than traditional Norwegian. Also, as you'll see in the next part, the fact that Alesund is a gateway to some of the countries most incredible Fjords, which is where the ship took us next that same day.
