@@mattsaracen7 Izzie was laid off just when she needed stability after surviving cancer. I didn't get the impression that Alex supported her at the time. That is why she fled. Then she wanted to come back and Alex said stop. While he was still mad about her. Izzie loved Denny but most of all she fantasized about her relationship with him. Alex had cheated on her and she met a sick man, but intelligent, mature man who knew what he wanted in life. A real gentleman ... He had sparkled her the life she dreamed of and he died. If she suffered so much from her disappearance, it was because her hopes were thwarted. That doesn't mean she liked Alex less.

Thinking about it now. Christina's story ended with Burke, not precisely WITH, but with him giving her his hospital. And Alex and Izzie ended up with kids/each other. All the old Greys are coming together (best time of the show) to tie it all together.

exactly!! 😭😭 i didn’t think we would ever receive closure apart from in season 14 when Alex imagine a whole life for her. Even then, that was the first time in years they had acknowledged her character. As soon as Izzie departed the writers made it seem like it was nothing. They took a main character of years who had formed connects with almost everyone around her and yet wrote her off as if she was a secondary character?? and still expected us to believe that no one really cared after she left??? Only to have no other option 10 years later but to give her a happy ending with alex 😭❤️.

Yes, most precious and perfect thing ever. I LOVED Izzie in the first few seasons before the show got all sad, she was just so precious in Season 1 and Season 2 when George, her and Meredith lived together and to have them finally close her storyline when they sent her off TOTALLY out of her character made me so happy. It makes you remember why we loved Izzie and her kid looks so precious.

Izzie and Alex is the endgame. If you're a real fan of greys you should know that. First of all Izzie is the only one who tolerate Alex when he was a douche and she was his first friend out of the 4, then they became a couple and sure they have their ups and down yet still they chose each other in season 5. Alex even said that Izzie is the reason why he became better. They never had closure when she left, its always unresolved. (still hate the fact the didnt give Izzie a proper send off) Its obvious that deep down he still loves her but just wont acknowledge it and chose to ignored it. When Alex was shot he called for Izzie, he doesn't want to talk about George because when he does, he keeps thinking about Izzie, and theres this time where he introduce himself as Alex Stevens when he confronted Jo's ex husband, and how defensive he was when he and Jo talks about Izzie and Alex's frozen embreyo, and of course how can we forget about whe he was so awkward and uneasy when Izzies doppelganger was in the hospital. I can see why others like Jo and Alex, I get that. Yeah I also feel bad for her but according to the letter its not about her its about him. I like Jo but Izzie is and will always going to be the one. He has been through a lot of shit in Seattle and this time he just wants to be genuinely happy in his life thats why he chose Izzie and the twins. So all you people who hate that Izzex is the endgame can suck it up 😝 Btw I love the fact that this song is from Alex and Izzies's wedding.

It seems to me that Izzy always had faith in Alex. 2:40 and 2:43 is absolutely adorable and one reason why I love to be the parent of a kid : to see the exact same eyes of your loved one in their face, as if copied in there, as if some sort of spirit passed on, and will live on and carry on your love long after you, it feels like a living, God or life givin' miracle... I stopped watching regularly after Izzie/KH left. She was my favorite female character. I watched the show even less after they killed off Lexie (my next favorite female character) and then when they killed off Derek -- he was my favorite male character -- I was mostly done. Not even Amelia, Arizona, and Bailey could keep me interested. When I heard this was going to be Alex's swan episode, I tuned in, curious to see how they would write him out and was so pleasantly surprised! I couldn't believe it. I had seen Izzie in a flashback in the promo, but never dared to hope for a HEA for her character. How AWESOME, after almost 10 years I had nearly given up hope. So yah for Izzie and Alex and Team Izzex!!!! :)Out of curiosity I tuned into the following episode and quite frankly wasn't interested in any of them. Of the ones that were left that I had liked -- Amelia, Owen, Bailey -- honestly don't even recognize them even more.

I came to grey's at season 14 and didn't watched the old ones and though I m really sorry for Jo, and I can't imagine what this is doing to her, and though it shouldn't have been the way Jo got the news...But: Even to me, who never watched a whole Alex and Izzie episode, these scenes, just for themselves, from the Cineasts point of view and imagining there isn't a heartbroken Jo, were beautiful for themselves and heartwarming and well... But Izzie chose Denny over Alex and only went back to Alex when Denny died. Then when she had a tumour the hallucinations she had were of Denny. Then when she got fired and Webber told her that Alex had spoken to him, she immediately thought the worst, assumed Alex had said something bad, blamed him for her getting fired, ran out on him and ignored his calls for weeks. When she tried to come.back Alex rejected her because he knew he deserved better than someone who made him feel as bad as she did. It was such an empowering moment for him. Now they've ruined it and erased all his character development and the relationship that he has built with Jo who has abandonment issues and mental health issues and now he has abandoned her. I'd be happier if he had died. Or if he wanted to do long distance with Jo so he could get to know his kids and she decides it would be better to split up or something. Alex just going back to Izzie makes zero sense.

But before Denny and Izzie we’re together, Alex and Izzie were just beginning to have something and then he cheated on her with Olivia...I would’ve broke up with Alex too, and chose Denny. And the reason she saw hallucinations of Denny, was because she said she associated him with death. And yes she got mad and left Alex, and that was shitty, but she came back at the end of the day, because she loved him. Alex made mistakes, Izzie made mistakes, people make mistakes.🤷🏻‍♀️ If anything it took a long time for Alex to move on from Izzie, even after he cheated on her, he was jealous of Denny. Also, on the idea of being together but doing long distance, would seem rather unfair to Jo, in my opinion, because that’s not the life Jo signed up for, also it’d be painful to watch the man you love with his ex-wife and kids. I don’t think they ruined his character development, shit just happens and it’s a part of life.😳

He spread model photos of her, humiliated her, cheated on her, and constantly yelled at her. He even called her names. But Izzie was always there for him - calling him out when there's the need to, talking to him, she even helped him w Rebecca even tho Alex was so hostile towards her. And when she had Denny hallucinations and had to choose between the two, she chose Alex. When she knew something was wrong wjth her, she decided to tell Alex and break up w him because she knew he didn't deserve her as a mess. Alex told her its ok and so they go thru her cancer phase. Peolle shouldn't put all the blame on Izzie. She had freaking cancer, lost her best friend, lost her job. Alex was the only thing she had left and she felt she lost him too

I hate how later seasons ruined her character because of the actress. Izzy was so great. Izzy and Alex as endgame was perfect. I just hope before the show ends we get one scene of Bailey chirping Alex, Izzy, Mer and Christina like the old days

anyone remember that doctor that got shot in the head in a season premiere or something? i wanted alex to end up with her but I love izzie and am happy they brought her back into the story in some way for this episode and we get conclusion to izzie's story
