My dad started working in the coal mines at the age of 12. He became a cowboy then a ranch foreman then a small business owner. He was the best example a boy could have growing up. He was always reading and would stop to help anyone in need. He, for some reason, seemed amazed when both my brother and I went to college and had very successful careers in computers. John designed the chips and I taught college & technology students how to use them. In my life I have found that people who start with the short end of the stick become the most successful (not richest) if they can refuse to give up their dreams. Thank you for your story. You and my dad would really liked each other.

I just saw your performance with your kids on the street to lift random peoples life and i decided to look you up and your upbringing is heartbroken. Maybe God put you on that situation so you could be able to understand others that arent fortunate. There's no better way to understand things unless you walk if their shoes. Today you are lifting others that might have a crappy life and fill it with joy and hope. You didn't give up. Thanks for being a beautiful human kind and for your great examples

This is inspirational as I'm homeless now. I'm a writer needing money one day to get my dream of being published. I need a editor to make this work and one day I have my dream too. I guess i save as it will take me 5 years or more to get good money to get my book self published on amazon. I'm 50 and you just gave me hope thank you.

Wow man. What a journey. Chances are good that this video will get rewatched often by me, even though there’s no music in it. I listen to a lot of sad, depressing, hopeless songs (sucker for pain, anyone? lol) but if one of your vids pops up in my playlists or subscriptions, it ALWAYS takes me to a better place.
