As a Chelsea fan I wasn’t upset Mount left. He peaked in 20/21 seasons when he was trying to solidify a place in the first team. Not a technically great player but his work rate was always high so he offered the team something. Once he tasted a little success and the English media hyped him up, it went straight to his head. He stopped putting in a shift and was more concerned with off field social media affairs than his football.

Mount was a work rate player that put in a shift when lampard first brought him back from Derby. English media hyped him up and it went straight to his head. Now he’s just another mediocre English player on silly money not living up to standards. Too many excuses being made for him about he doesn’t fit system etc but reality is that he’s not particularly effective if he’s not putting in a shift which he isn’t.
