Three classic Alex Honnold climbing films. Download The Collection Here: reelrocktour.c...
Alone On The Wall (2008)
Twenty-three year old Alex Honnold is taking the high-stakes sport of free solo climbing to new heights. Climbing truly massive walls without a rope, and zero chance of survival if he falls, Alex is calm and fearless (except when it comes to girls). But attempting the 2,000-foot wall of Half Dome, the greatest free solo ever attempted, would finally teach Alex the meaning of fear.
Honnold 3.0 (2012)
Alex Honnold has made a name for himself as the boldest free soloist in the history of rock climbing. But in this dangerous game, how does he balance pure ambition with self-preservation? From highball boulder first ascents to 5.13 free solos, from far-flung trad climbing adventures to speed records on The Nose, Honnold wrestles with this question in preparation for his biggest adventure yet - the Yosemite Triple. In under 19 hours he climbs Mt. Watkins, El Cap, and Half Dome all by himself.
A Line Across The Sky (2014)
The Fitz Roy Traverse is one of the most sought after achievements in modern alpinism: a gnarly journey across seven jagged summits and 13,000 vertical feet of climbing. Who knew it could be so much fun? Join Tommy Caldwell and Alex Honnold on the inspiring, and at times hilarious, quest that earned the Piolet d'Or.
Bonus Content: Excerpt from "The Sharp End" (2007)
A team of American climbers visit Saxony to sample the old world climbing area of Elbsandstein. Among the sandstone towers, they experience first-hand the infamous restrictive climbing ethics and permissive drinking antics in this former eastern-bloc region. One day at the crag, a young Alex Honnold steps into the limelight as he ropes up on a stunning yet terrifying lead.
Duration: 1 hour 35 minutes plus a 16 minute bonus feature

How he reeled that shyt in after putting himself in 'time out' on 'Thank God Ledge,' is nothing short of mind boggling!

We all put ourselves in The Zone sometimes and deal with the problems/life threatening issues. For many of us, it is starting a family and taking on a mortgage. And for those like Alex, it is scaling sheer walls of stone where the slightest mistake spells death. That scene where he says he is freaking out made me red line inside just watching. Respect to him and all climbers. Special thank you to the camera folks! YOU guys let us see! THANK YOU!

Im not a climber at all. But love watching him do this stuff he's a bad ass at what he does. I highly doubt anyone will ever do the things he's done the way he's done them effortless. Yet he worked so freaking hard to do them.

bought this a few months ago. honnold 3.0 and alone on the wall were legendary. Those shots of him speed soloing were fucking insane. imo the triple crown is the most impressive part of honnold's resume. Such a good watch i would recommend it to anybody

"just a second im freaking out actually" im not sure how you pull yourself from that while remaining in the same situation, but that is beyond impressive.. I feel like most people at that point would either lock their knees and faint, or pass out from the adrenaline/fear factor. I want to be like this, to just be able to turn it off, i guess he has no choice at that point. Nonetheless its extremely impressive, few others are like this. Our special forces guys for the most part are all pure adrenaline junkies, they sprint through doors knowing there could be a tripwire or a dude with a PKM at the end of the hallway and they just turn off the fear. like a switch in their brain, but even for them this might be a bit intense...

for the record that's a recreation of what actually happened. He describes in his book (Alone on the Wall) how he actually soloed the wall with no film crew for the first time and the actual freakout happened above Thank God Ledge and he's just doing it for the camera here. Your point still stands tho, absolutely amazing mental control!
