Fifa's job is to advertise, and provide equal financial investment into all (including Women's) soccer so that the sport itself brings in revenue...they have failed...not lay it on the players. It seems like the equal pay thing comes from a misunderstanding. The men get a higher demand to watch their games, but they get a small percentage from a bigger pot; whereas the women get a bigger percentage from a much smaller pot. Whoever's paying them can't afford to give them the same amount of cash for that reason, plus the percentages paid out is highly in the women's favour without having an equal amount of interest, so they're already shelling out more than is required if they were to pay based on what they get back. But also, I don't know what happened for the world champions to get beaten 5-2 in real life by kids under 15 (who weren't even the best U15's in the world), but that does the argument no favours. To be fair, a rematch would definitely have half the world watching 😂

Here in Europe, rugby players are paid a fraction of what soccer players are paid, simply because soccer generates far more revenue. I know they are different sports but at the end of the day, it's all down to generated revenue and viewership. Average salary in English Soccer Premier League: £3.5 million Average salary in English Rugby Premiership: £70,000 These girls arguing for more money is like rugby players trying to take action to be paid the same as soccer players. At my school (in England) us boys played Soccer or Rugby or Cricket during P/E class and the girls would play Netball or Hockey. There was never any overlap. As this video said, the U.S. invested more in their team than any other country. In America, it's more of a mixed sport with both boys and girls playing it (not against each other).

I like Rapinoe and Morgan’s attitudes that they had, but just a couple things I noticed here: 1. Jimmy seemed to really force the more controversial topics onto them and they didn’t really react like they wanted to talk about them. 2. The players seem more understanding than Jimmy that “equal pay” takes time and that doing more controversial things such as boycotting the World Cup would not benefit them. 3. The title is misleading because it’s more about Jimmy’s opinion on the more controversial topics than it is about celebrating the World Cup win, as evidenced by the very generic and boring questions about the World Cup that they sort of just skim through. Surely everyone must realise that womens sport athletes will get paid the same once they bring in more revenue. Its a bit different for other professions like doctors and lawyers etc but more workers... get paid fairly equality... office workers, shop assistants and restaurant staff People fighting for equaltin the workforce really hold on to the 20% high paying jobs more than the 80% equally paid jobs. The last so many years the world is so negative and always looking for the argument or make up a stand point.

Equal pay doesn't take time, it takes revenue. Female soccer just doesn't have the same draw as male soccer. Not the same amount of people watch it, therefore they will never get the same amount in sponsorship money. Without sponsorship money, explain to me how the female players are gonna get paid the same? Explain to me where the money is gonna come from.
