People don’t realize that he has been training bjj since 2015(sure not consistently). His coach said in the latest interview in MMA hours that he helped poatan transition to mma and help him find training for bjj in 2015-2016

Even if ankalev can get him doen i dont think he can overpower him and keep control especially if ankalaev gets stuffed early or has to work extremely hard just to stay on top of alex i doubt he tries to keep taking him down and he gasses out too fast so idk i dont see alex losing anytime soon unless he fights tom or possibly cyril gane to enter hw i think that would be a great tune up for alex for his debut
